  • Nice find!! Will have to check my local for this deal.

    • As it turns out, none at Armadale WA. Surprise surprise.

  • Gah, do Target specials tend to extend nationwide? And to Target Country stores? This is a pretty awesome deal.

    • Not likely to find them at target county, bu generally nationwide

      • +1

I looked at the current Target Country catalogue online, and it has a Wii on the front cover. I might give them a bell in the morning and see how I go.

  • Very good price for wii.

    Anyone using USB loader?

    • Softmod still work on the newer wii's?

      • +1

Mine is working, and supports 95% of latest games.

    • do you really think paying full australian rrp is supporting the gaming industry? You dont even seem to know why people want to soft mod/use a usb loader

      • +1

I wouldn't go as far as him, but be honest here.

"You dont even seem to know why people want to soft mod/use a usb loader"

99% of the people who use this sort of thing do it to play free games.

        • +2

99% of the games are only worth $0.

        • nintendo region lock games, and a usb loader cant be blocked by a firmware update knock wood also there are those would rather backup there games where possible, its not always about pirating!

      • Come on Tal, backup games? People do it to play games for free. That's the underlying reason, full stop.

    • Why is everyone negging DEvok? You don't need to pay Australian RRP by buying games at EB to support the game industry. Only moronic fools do that. Buying games from the UK cost as little as $10, with most games ranging between $20-$30. Doing so is still supporting the game industry.

"99% of the games are only worth $0"

If 99% of games are worth $0, then why would you play them? If the games are so crap, then why pirate them in the first place? That's just a poor excuse. You're obviously going to play the good games, which are mainly first party titles from Nintendo, and they are worth more than $0.

  • I was at Indooroopilly Target tonight and they had black or white Wii for $159 with just wii sports, the wii console with wii sports and sports resort was $179. So the Chermside one is a good deal and probably only available at that particular store or only stores that have a red wii left.

    • The Good Guys have the Sports + Sports Resort bundle for $169. Target has it listed in the catalogue at $229 here in WA

  • I like it cos it's red. Would buy it if I didn't have mine.

    • The only reason I haven't snapped it up is because it IS red. :p

      Should trade!

  • nintendo are getting a bit out hand with the colours…. red looks pretty weird…. other than that, good price for the console

    • Red looks weird? There's a reason why. 25th year anniversary. Surely you've heard of the Famicom?

      • i have not actually lol

        • Famicom should be known as the NES in Australia. Never owned a NES and played the first mario?

        • FAMICOM is the Japanese version of the NES.

  • Good price for the red, i'm surprised they're still around, must be cause of the colour :) Big W has regular white + sports for $148 also: http://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/co… if i didn't have one i'd get the red or EB's $177 deal with mario kart+wheel.

  • Target at Southport Park, qld have heaps of these for $159. They didn't have any on display but when I asked for one they had a lot out the back they said.

  • Snagged one today at Target Albury for $151.05 using a Coles Group staff discount card.

Great deal! Thanks for the notification. I was close to buying one from Dick Smith for $299!

  • Just grabbed one at Canberra Center today, great deal. I wish Nintendo would put a Mario logo on this limited edition wii console though.

  • I think there is no need to purchase a wii emotionally when u can wait for even cheaper offer. I can see prices dropping significantly past two years. I am not in a hurry to get one but have intention to buy. Will wait till they slash price even further under $100 or wait for 'catch of the day' one day offer online. chance are likely to happen in soon future ;-)

    • If you can ever catch one on bait-of-the-day..

  • Nice deal. Any stores in sydney got this sale?

  • I managed to pick one up from Point Cook in Melbourne, it seems that they are still around if you are looking for one. By the way, the "New Super Mario Bros." that comes with it is retail packaging, so you should be be able to sell it / trade it in as a normal game.
