Stumbled upon this today. Available for both new signup and existing customer taking up a new Red/Red plus plan + Phone.

I was earlier on contract with Vodafone $60 Red Plus plan. I decided to upgrade to $65 plan + phone and get first two month plan fee for free. $65 plan comes with 125GB data and unlimited international calls to zone 1 countries. I was able to get additional 5% discount on the plan fee since I was upgrading from existing Vodafone contract. After discount $65 plan fee became $61.75

I selected Samsung Galaxy A20 as my device which has total minimum cost of $199 (RRP: $279). After switching to plan + phone, my mobile plan became month on month.

So, after first two months if you decided to switch, essentially you would've got Samsung Galaxy A20 for ($199-$65*2) = $69 (since you save on $65 plan fees per month for first two month). Also no early termination fees.

Yeah, perhaps you should go with Telstra if you're not happy with one outage per year and would rather have one outage a week.

    • I am with Lebara & Kogan also got problem today

      To who?

Both Telstra and Optus have had shocking outages over the last year. Telstra multiple times too.

For those two months you would have also made 2 monthly phone repayments of $16.58 so if you cancel you would still be left a phone bill of $165.84.

Personally I wouldn't have considered 2 months $130 ($65 per month) as free when determining the saving on phone as I wouldn't ever consider paying that much per month of a plan, rather get Boast 365 plan for $150ish.
