Yes its that bad. The campaign starts off promising and then quickly plummets. If your in the market where you want a game where you just move forward to pass time then this is the game for you. Once the campaign is over you start to grind the 3 strongholds (now 4) which gets boring really quick. Tyrant mine is fun for the first 10 times you do it after that you just auto pilot. Temple of the scar - may be 3-4 times and then u realize its tedious and the boss is recycled free roam mini boss content. Heart of rage…..basically the (SPOILERS) last mission of the campaign minus the cutscenes. This is where you grind your endgame gear if your smart and oh wait did i mention you dont have to and in most instances cannot fight the last boss in this stronghold? why? cause after killing two basic mini bosses (less than actual mini boss), you open a chest and poof your teammates disconnect from the stronghold. Gear and power progression is irrelevant; its either you have it or not, there is no middle ground. THE HYPED up Catacylsm event (see anthem trailer on youtube) Will make you go HOLY Shit and then if u watch the Dev stream or play on the PTS, u'd notice its just a free roam on an instanced map with the blue filter turned on. Could someone explain why its bad? I recall there being issues with loading screens.
The Kotaku article I linked above does a pretty deep dive into what went wrong behind the scenes. I played the closed beta. I played the open beta. Based on those two experiences, the article rings true, and I wouldn't buy the game, even at $5.
Exactly, Bioware / EA should pay you to play it, it's that bad.

I unfortunately bought this game (Legion of Dawn version) and cannot express how disappointing it is. Not worth $19. I'd wait until free to play.
As others have said, I wouldn't even touch this dumpster fire of a game. Would only consider it if it went free to play.
