I have these at home and can highly recommend them (not at full price though)

  • How do you select pickup from store?

    • How do you select pickup from store?

Unfortunately, I don't know that it's possible. If you order online, you need to get it delivered (happy to be corrected on this).

If you don't want to pay for shipping, your best bet is to see if you could drop into a store and purchase the item. In my opinion though, it's well worth it even if $10 were added to the discounted price.

    I bought one set

  • Just wondering whether these pans are heavy like those cast iron pans. My non-stick frypan just turned sticky again needing a new pan, but doesn't like those heavy pans.

    • Sorry, can't comment on that as I've never used cast iron pans. Perhaps someone else here could compare and share their opinion.

    • +1

The pans aren't as heavy as cast iron ones because they are made of aluminium. They weight as much as the Teflon nonstick ones. I have a 3 piece set that I bought a couple of years ago for $150. Still going very strong. At this price it's a no brainer, worth it with the shipping cost.

  • Hoping a current owner (or savvy cook) can help please - can the lidded items be used in an oven, and if so to what maximum temperature? I was hoping to use them like a Dutch oven. TIA

    • +1

I wouldn't prop any of those into an oven. All of the items have handles of some sort that may not be safe inside an oven.

      • I was worried about that, thanks for feedback

  • Are these dishwasher safe?

    • +1

Never had enough gunk stick on any of these for me to put them in the dishwasher. Easily rinsed out with some soap and a sponge. Having said that, I think they should be safe in a dishwasher.

      • Thats fine, but I dont want to get out the soap and sponge for one pan/pot. I tried to look for info but cant even find the manufacturers website. This seems a bit dodgy (esp the Advertised RRP of $399.95).

        • You're correct. The RRP on these things are usually highly inflated.

    • Care instructions:
      - Hand wash and dry with cotton cloth

    • Yes, they are dishwasher-safe.

I hardly need to though as it just washes off very easily.

  • How durable are these? Will you ruin it using metal spatula, etc? Thanks!

    • Going strong after 3 years here. Given the stone coating, they should be able to handle a metal spatula, but I've admittedly always used the wooden ones.

      • Thanks! I still have some unused pots and pans at home but tempted to get one

        • You'd not be disappointed at this price!

    • +2

As much as these say stone, they are just another non-stick coating (albeit a stronger version). I wouldnt use metal spoons and the occasional times that I have, they havent scratched. But I wouldnt use it often.

    Thanks OP. Got one.

Thanks, Got one. Wife has been wanting one of these for a while. She will be happy.

Bought two one for wife and other for the workmate
    Thanks

  • do these "bow" in the middle? Most of our frypans except the cast iron ones have.
Bye bow I mean have a lump in the middle of the pan.

Mine hasn't "bowed" over time - AussieOlfaction

(this statement should not be taken out of context and attributed to me, please).

I'll let the others comment on their experience.

      • ordered a set, will see if the wife can destroy these lol

        Cheers OP

        • I'm glad you could get one. :-)

          • @aussieolfaction: Hey WTH? I just got a notification of a refund yet I have heard nothing from Harris Scarfe

            • @Robski7777: Sorry to hear that. :-(

I received a notification last Friday that it was shipped out from SA. I suppose that they've probably run out of stock? I'm not sure.

I'd suggest getting in touch with them to find out what exactly is going on.
