This is a very valid question.
Yes we have sold this at full retail but only to a few customers who bought online or did not negotiate in store. Most customers coming in store will negotiate and we have in the past verbally discounted up to 15% OFF. As the EOFY sale period is very competitive we have decided to offer a big discount on these 2 products as a loss leader to get people to come in store. If you were to come in store and purchase these mattresses our staff would also try and convince you to purchase some pillows and mattresses protectors to make up for the margin lost in this product.
Unfortunately there are many shonky retailers especially online through marketplace sites that offer perpetual over inflated discounts so i totally understand you being jaded with the industry.
