I wouldn't really consider this much of a deal.

You can get them here for $5.79 with no coupon and it's buy 2 get one free so works out to be $3.86 shipped from Victoria. I understand this is a better price individually but still doesn't feel like a 'bargain' by any means.

it would be better to try to find any cheap brand name earbuds (eg. philips, sony, skullcandy etc.) with a mic than to test to see if a generic earbud is good

but generic earbuds that are good do exist, they're just rare
