Hi everyone,

Bunnings Noarlunga have a few of these Ozito kits out on 'clearance'. Might be available in other stores.

Here are the respective links

Blower and Hedge Trimmer Kit - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-18v-blower-…
Blower and Grass Trimmer Kit - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-18v-blower-…
Pole Hedge Trimmer Kit - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-18v-pole-pr…

Pair it up with the battery and other tools on special at the moment and you'll have a decent kit.

Also first post to OzB!

  • Wish it's in Victoria. Bought two 4hA batteries last night. Nothing on clearance

    • There are few in Pakenham with yellow tickets. Price is not sure. But it's clearance item.

I paid $25 a few months ago for the blower and trimmer from Bunnings.

Save tour money and buy used off Facebook etc.

They are useless. The trimmer uses little plastic blades and i have used them all in 80m of trimming.

    • Just clarifying… the 'Trimmer' you're referring to is the Grass Trimmer, not the Hedge Trimmer right? The Hedge Trimmer is excellent but I know the Grass Trimmer with the plastic blades is junk.

Strange. I used 2 blades for the entire winter and the lawn was quite long too. I find it quite good for a small lawn area less than 50m2.

      • Agree! I got heaps of spares thinking I would burn through them but after a couple of years, not even half way through the included 10 pack

      • I actually like the blades for edges gives the cleanest edges over a line trimmer. Neighbours and people stop constantly comment how clean the cut it. Can go through couple weeks with one blade if don’t let grass grow too long.

I agree, however I converted the plastic blades to an auto feed line trimmer head… works great now.

      • How?

The 240v Ozito line trimmer head bolts right on to the power x "grass trimmer" body. Easy Peasy!!

@Gatto: I'm so glad you've tried this @Gatto! I was looking at modding it by putting a universal alloy line head on it.

Are you able to link the head your referring to?

            • +2

@axtx: I'm not sure how to upload photo's on here, but I took the head off an ozito trimmer like the one listed here.
The only "modification i did was using a washer to space the 18v body from the line trimmer head so the original plastic shroud would fit. (I've since removed this shroud anyway as I like to have a bit of extra line out when I do my edging).

              • @Gatto: Thanks heaps

              • @Gatto: I’ve got the 500w trimmer you linked to and the bolt for the head is completely different to the 18v one. Unless you mean replacing the whole motor unit off the pole??

          • @Gatto: Can you take a photo of this? The only reason I havent bought one is because of the plastic blades..

Could you link that please was wondering if there was a way to do this. Thanks.

  • I have had this kit for a while, overall is good for the price, but I always flat both batteries when I blow my front and back yard. Wish the battery can hold more charge.

  • Does the blower produce strong enough air to clean up dust in a PC case?

    • +1

No, it wouldn't work well for that at all.

Best thing I've found to clean a computer case is just a small dusting brush and a vacuum cleaner.
