[VIC Only] Dr Pepper $30 for 24 Cans at Walker's Doughnuts

90

I spotted a little sign today out the front of Walker's Doughnuts (26/2 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne).

24 Cans of Dr Pepper for $30 (1/2 Price) at Walker's Doughnuts.

Limit 2 slabs per person.

Other alternatives:
- Costco $30ish for 24 (but requires $60 membership).
- Some IGAs in Canberra have individual cans for $2
- USAFoods $40 for 48 + insane shipping ( http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/45915 )

Here's some links below to negative comments regarding the taste of Dr Pepper, so you don't need to repost:

Walkers, 48 cans for $60 without shipping???, pick them up from the city???
i know where i would shop

    • The current USAFoods deal includes a free packet of Dr Pepper flavoured Jelly Belly Jelly beans. They're also the Dublin Dr Pepper variety too which uses real sugar and not the High Fructose corn syrup variety that a lot of places stock.

I'm not sure what variety Walker's sells but the real sugar variety is much better and worth any extra $.

I love Dr Pepper but the Caramel colouring in it has a really annoying effect on me :(

    • The USAFoods deal is great for the more serious drinker.

However I was put off buy having to buy 48 cans with a short expiry date. I love Dr P, but I don't want to get fat. :)

      • I may sound cheap, but I bought some Dr Pepper before with short expiry date, however I drank the last can about 6 weeks after the Best Before date and I could not tell the difference. I think you are pretty safe with couple of months, what is probably more important is the way how you store it (i.e. in cold or somewhere with direct sunlight, etc)
And 1 Dr P a day instead of any other soft drink is manageable :-)

  • I like Dr Pepper, thanks for the post.
