        biggest difference is that the Xiaomi is a single band repeater with Wifi 802.11n, so it'll only repeat 2.4ghz Wifi.

        Linksys is dual band with N / AC support, meaning that if you have a dual band router (most people should have one nowadays), this extender will not only repeat 2.4ghz but also the 5ghz signals.

        Xiaomi also sells a 'pro' version of the repeater for roughly $35 AUD but that's also limited to 2.4ghz Wifi @ 300mbps.
