    Thanks OP… bought one set.

  • Nice stick.

  • +1

This is dumb cheap if you've had your eyes (and wallets) on these sticks!

  • +1

Seriously considering an upgrade from 2x16gb 2400mHz!

    • Seriously considering buying a second set to go along with the set I bought last deal. Means I've averaged out my ozbargaining right?

      • +7

sure does. Chrome needs 64gb of ram these days anyway

    • I'll buy your old ram if you want to get rid of it at a good price :-)

  • +7

RAM and price decreases, name a more iconic duo.

I'm trying to wait until Ryzen 3000 is announced but bargains like this make it difficult. It says the promotion ends in 7 days though, and AMD at computex is in 6 days, so fingers crossed.

You better hope they don't run out of stock.

  • getting basically impossible to resist this deal for some more RGB bling in my PC…

    EDIT - ordered!

Picked up this kit from the last deal. Well worth it especially for the extra 23$ off.

    Check out the amazing RGB:

    • dang, son. I'm proud of you ( which is a sin and I don't even care! You hear that? God? )

    • does it hit the advertised speed?

      • Yep running the 3000Mhz XMP profile for 3 weeks without any issues.

  • I remember just 12 months ago when I bought these for about 600, think I got the 3200 though…

    • same ,

      same price but 16g lol

    • 3 years ago my 32GB 2400MHz LPX was $199, then it jumped to $549, now back to $269 (PCCG).

  • If I use these in 2133Mhz (with my current skylake mobo), will these 1.35v sticks drop to 1.2V to "co-exist" with the current 2 x 8GB 1.2V kingston ram i have on the mobo?

  • Will these pair up good will a i9 9900k? Also buying 2 to make 64gb of RAM won't be a problem right? Sorry for the noob questions, been a while since i built a rig.

    • Memory Specifications

Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) 128 GB
      Memory Types DDR4-2666
Max # of Memory Channels 2
      Max Memory Bandwidth 41.6 GB/s
      ECC Memory Supported ‡ No

    • Yup. Just bought another 2x32GB to make 64GB total. Also have an i9 9900k.

      • Just curious, what will you use 64GB for?

Trying to justify maxing mine out too but can't find a reason :(

  • -1

    when is DDR5 due?

    • even it is due today,
it is still good deal to buy.

  • +1

Tempted to buy these and sell my 3000 16Gb kit locally

  • +2

Are there any cheaper non RGB variants? Can live without bling.

  • +1

Just in case anyone is wondering, I've done a bit of checking and these don't appear to be B-Die.

    • True. No research was needed though. Almost no CL16 RAM at 3000-32000 MHz is B-die.

  • Damnnnnn I need another 2x8 of the trident =(

  • +1

I wonder if these would be a good upgrade for the Techfast Ryzen 2600 PCs. Mine still hasn’t arrived so I can’t check what my 16GB is but someone mentioned before it’s the slower 2400 RAM.

    • my techast 2600 system came with Team Group 8GB (1 x 8GB) PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400) Memory. Overclocked to 2666 for me so this would be a good upgrade.

      • From watching Youtube videos online it sounds like 2400 is quite a bottleneck on a Ryzen 2600. How have you found yours and did you upgrade to this RAM?

On another note, the Techfast Biostar motherboards (B45M2) seem quite basic - do I need anything else in order to appreciate the RGB goodness if I order this RAM?

        • I bought another 8Gb off ebay, didn't realise the 8Gb it came with wasn't 2 x 4Gb sticks. As for the speed I think 2666 is not too bad in bottlenecking the cpu though faster ram would be better of course, I'm happy with the speed of the dual channel 2666 ram I have now.

          • @thorman: Would you have a different view if it was 2400?

            • +1

@jace88: yeah 2400 is a waste I think on this cpu. Just tried further overclocking on the techfast and got it to 2933 with really loose 20-19-19-40 timings and instantly noticed higher fps. Faster the memory the better it seems.

  • How can I check if this is compatible with my current motherboard?

Seems like an upgrade on my Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB), PC4-25600 (3200MHz)

    • +1

if youre already running DDR4 ram then this should work perfectly fine along with any other DDR4 ram

  • bought one, thanks OP.

I've got the same set of RAMs but in 16GB thus upgrading to 32GB for moreeee chrome tabs

  • Can these be mixed with the non rgb version?

    • yes however you will end up with some memory being potentially downclocked (or voltage/multiplier) to the lowest sticks specifications. Also make sure you match the rams in the same channel slots

  • Just ordered 2 packs to jump to 64GB!!

  • I would have pulled the trigger on this, then saw Shipping would be $66.88, spewing.

    • It's free shipping for me, are you sure you selected Newegg as the seller and not a marketplace seller?

      • Yeah, sold and shipped by Newegg. It is applying a shipping cost for rural areas at the checkout. If I was in Melbourne it would be free. I'm 3 hours from Melbourne.

        • +3

Can you get it shipped to a post office in melb and pick it up later? Use parcel collect.

  • +1

hmm I'm looking to build a 12 or 16c Ryzen 3000 build in comings months, this so so tempting but I know i should wait right? :/

    • Why should you wait? Except that you want to go with a lower latency RAM (which you should do!), there is no other reason. This price is cheap.

    • -1

I'd wait, RAM is still dropping.

  • Out of Stock
    UNAVAILABLE FOR AUSTRALIA!

    • (profanity) I DIDN'T BUY YET

      • It's available again FYI.

        • Hmm. I'm not so sure as I was before. Always in hindsight…

Realistically I haven't got the money to spend on a full PC right now, and there's not much point chucking down $250+ on RAM that I can't use for another few months. Plus I've heard nothing but bad things about Newegg and its support.

Unless you have something to say to sway me..?

  • +1

Will these pair well with the new Ryzens coming out on 7 July?

    • They'll work fine, but higher clock speed definitely wouldn't hurt.

    • go for 3200mhz or above if your looking to use it with the new Ryzen chip coming out.

  • +1

64gb ram worth it? Prob not.

  • -1

any1 in melb wanting to sell their teamgroup elite 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram from Techfast for 45 bucks hmu ;)

  • +2

Price dropped again to $264 :)

  • +1

Ryzen 3000 is baseline at 3200mhz memory.. So if your after a new gaming rig and you have your eye out on the new Ryzen chips coming out next month, you probably what to go for at least 3200mhz memory, not 3000. Just a thought…

    • I'm waiting. Though, everything has a price and I wonder how much difference does it make

      • The 3600mhz memory doesn't seem to be that much more…If you look at the 4000mhz… Well thats basically double the price. Perhaps a happy medium is the 3600mhz 16gb sticks..

    • What does that mean by baseline? Can you not use Ryzen with 3000mHz or under RAM?

  • Side question.
I don't care about the LOOKS of these things, can you get the same quality of RAM but cheaper if it's got less bling?

Or is this just a really good price regardless?

  • Deal back on.

  • Damn, just bought 2x8 on Friday (3200) to make my system 32gb. Was like $180.
    This is a good deal

  • $264 delivered. its very tempting.

  • Ram Effectiveness at 3000mhz and CAS 16 seems to be slightly in the red per the Reddit table, anyone comment otherwise?
