Any Ku band Mandarin/Cantonese FTA channels?
BUSTED - Illegal: false AND deliberatley misleading advertising by a rep.
Brand of this unit is not "Sony" - it is "Sonysky" or "SonySky"!

Even 1DaD's own site has it listed as SonySky!
Sony guts…. very good quality, you buy!
I am with "sw' o this one
Definately not a good deal or a "bargain"
you are not even guaranteed a Sharp dual LNB
Sorry but cheap junk and as if most people would be able to align the dish without the satfinder or some skill.
much better sat boxes about for the money.
Slight recant….. after a google search, maybe it is a Sony product but the sat box seems to be available for around $70, usual places, ebay etc.
me, i would get a HD Dreambox for about $150 instead, will do FTA, foxtel and other pay tv as well with a valid sub or "similar" :)
are you saying you can get the complete kit that does pay tv for the same price?
please provide the link
It's a DM518, $85 +post.

You still need to purchase: dish, lnb, cable etc and a valid sub or "similar" :)
No sub needed for FTA satellite though.
If you just wanted FTA, would you even bother with this SonySky package?
I would just stick to terrestrial FTA HD, plenty of channels nowdays.
it is Sonysky not Sony, i know because i have one, ok quality but not superior, not worth 70$, maybe 40$ in my mind. I'd rather have a clone dreambox for that price.

Box might be available for that price, but doesn't include dish, mount, cabling, lnb and shipping…. as in this deal….
ideal starter system with free postage.
if you have the skill to mount the dish and run the cable you should also be able to point the dish at the satellite.
otherwise this DIY kit is not for you.
a +ve from me
Don't forget to drill the hole on the wall and put in the socket. that's the hard part.
I agree, but have you ever aligned a sat dish for B3, C1, etc?
Needle in a haystack unless you have done a few, but probably still need a compass and satfinder to make life easier.
any free to air Ku channels for eastern Australian region?
