Sierra Trading Post sells clothes like the stuff at Kathmandu, Snowgum, etc. Sierra Trading Post though, is where the excess stock, closeouts etc get sent. This can lead to some nice specials if you happen to find something you really like in the right size and colour.
For those new to them, be warned, their shipping adds quite a bit, for anything under $300. I looked at a $100 jacket and they were going to add $50 in shipping. (The jacket is still around $250-$300 over here)
Warning: Without the discount codes, some of the items might be found cheaper elsewhere, if you can find the right size, colour and a seller you are prepared to trust
30% off using the code EB052411A
- Expires: probably 4pm, 27 May 2011 in Victoria (based on US 26 May 2011 expiry)
- kudos to [kikikeiko on retailmenot.com](http://www.retailmenot.com/view/sierratradingpost.com
- I successfully used this code last night
- the code seems to come from their newsletter; I was called a DealFlyer (ie their newsletter)
If you use a ground shipper or other, there are also codes for free shipping to various locations on that retailmenot.com site
This is more for people who've been watching items on Sierra Trading Post and are about ready to buy. (So the 30% off will make the deal nicer for them :) )
For new users, who want to try it, good luck:
- finding something you like in a colour and size that's right
- note you can look up a category of clothes as well as list by size which helps
- check that it really is cheaper here
- make sure you really do want/need it
Note: I'm not too familiar with buying clothes from overseas. I just did a comparison of Sierra to local suppliers, a few sites picked off Google that sold the same item and eBay.
NVM >The question is whether Sierra will ship themselves directly to Australia, or whether you will need to have a USA Shipping agent/service?
EDIT: Seems Australia is one of the countries they do Internationally ship to
