Just wondering if anyone has used their ING Visa Debit for Netflix Turkey. I just managed to sign up with my AMEX but it will still charge me fees, best way not to pay anything I dont need to would be via ING Visa Debit. But when signing up the payment type kept failing. I was going to cancel and order a new card with a new number and give that a go but dont want to do it if its not going to work.

Netflix seem to be matching the issuer country of the card (Australia in this case) to the subscription location (Turkey in this case) and where this is a mismatch rejecting the card. All part of their strategy to prevent punters getting around their geoblocking.

Maybe it's hit and miss? I had the opposite experience. I was successfully using an AUS card on US Netflix, then "all of a sudden" it failed payment and couldn't reinstate it. I had to go through 10 minutes of carry on to cancel my US account, then set up a new AUS account (with the one card for payment all the way through) and then I was back on.
hmm… quite odd.. Guess their gateway system is just crap
if you have used your card on netflix before on another region it will fail with the same account. It did work for me when i created a brand new account though
I think I might order a new card and give it a go as I did have my old card linked to Netflix. Might give it a go! If not I will probably just pay the AMEX fees
With AU$ dropping and with less messing around, it's cheaper to stock up on these, eg, AU$9 Vs AU$10.13 for the top plan.
What vpn are you using to access turkey? Hola doesn't seem to be free anymore and tunnel bear doesn't have a turkey exit point. I guess I'm trying to find a free solution.
