Received an email from dgm about Lenovo's Late Night Sale. 4 hours only between 8PM and midnight on Thursday 26 May and Friday 27 May. AEST I presume. Do note that the linked URL is not active yet. From experience those Lenovo special promo URLs were only active AFTER the promo has started so I guess all you need to remember is the coupon code and don't worry if it's still an empty page tonight :)

Here are the savings:

  • 10% off* all ThinkPad laptops
  • 20% off* all ThinkPad laptops when configuration is $1000 or more
  • 30% off* all ThinkPad laptops when configuration is $2200 or more
  • 40% off* all ThinkPad laptops when configuration is $3600 or more

*eCoupon is not combinable with other eCoupons, excludes warranty, service and options. eCoupon is not valid on X1 ThinkPad laptops.

That means here is another chance for getting this ThinkPad Edge E520 i5-2410M lappy for $656, or ~$9xx for an i7-2630M with 8GB RAM and 9 cell battery (when 20% off applies).

The "40% off when configuration is $3600 or more" makes the W520 workstation slightly more affordable, but I found it's still cheaper buying from US or some international eBay sellers, as ThinkPads have international warranty.

And for MoneyBackCo members — don't forget 3.5% cashback.

    dammit i want X1!!!

    • yes, looking for X1

  • with the e520 for 656.. is good deal with the graphics card but what graphics card is it?
what is the graphics card model??

Also pumping it up to i7, 8gb ram, 9 cells..
    only costs $883

    good bargain IMO

but lenovo is for small business.. do not use it for everyday usage.. i hear it is not that good for everyday home use.. like gaming, watching movies etc..
couple people i know had issues with it as uni laptops, fun and media etc..

    • Don't get carried away with this deal. Check your i's and t's before you buy.
It seems they (Lenovo) always do this. They must be having hard time selling goods.
I checked before and after when they offered this deal Surprise surprise !!!
This offer had always been there.

      • Well, I have been checking the special deals section lately, and this offer was not there. They only had the EOFYS code available.

They've also upgraded the standard hard drive of 500GB 5400rpm to 7200rpm.

      • I think they sell pretty well, just obviously have a market strategy of maintaining slightly high retail prices w/constant sales. Logitech / Harris Scarfe come to mind.

    • What do you mean it's not good for everyday usage?

Is it designed to break if used for anything other than office documents???

I don't get what you are saying.

  • How about this config for $802.4 after discount?

    • Everything's Looks gr8 but Just would like to add 9 cell battery as I know 6 cell wouldn't last 2-2.30 hrs practically.

  • According to this comment on Whirlpool, this coupon code actually became active at 6pm.

  • It again went live as of 6pm tonight. Not a bad deal overall. I scored a dual core i7 with a higher on the midrange switchable graphics card, in a 14 inch chassis, for less than 1k. :)
