When adding the phone to your cart you might be offered a free screen protector as well!
This is the dual sim version. Only white available.

$185? You said $289 in the other thread :)
Hahahahahahaha. Cop that.
Haha whoops !! Don't think I was thinking right this morning! Well done doing the whole NCIS investigation haha
tranter - the hero we deserve and the one we need right now
I vote tranter for PM!
I got mine for around $206 2 months back from OW! Will upload proof
Lol wut! Really!?
@Gomo: Yeah, the manager there didn't realize that tobydealsau was a grey import because it had au in the name!
@c201: But you got a single sim version
@easternculture: I know- can't complain about the good for the price though!
How did you manage that? It's $317 at Officeworks now.
Fooling since 2010? LOL.
Has NFC. Nice.
Meh
Looks better in black but still a well specc'd phone for the price.
For potential buyers/owners out there I would install the gcam APK to get a better camera experience although it took a few downloads to find one that didn't crash and worked perfectly
Same experience but got Gcam working in the end lol.
which ver did you use that doesn't crash and gives full functionality?
I'll have a look and get back to you. I remember that it was for just Nokia 6 though. Mind you I didn't have it installed on the most recent update from not long ago
@DannyBoy: Overall, this phone isn't as good as the new Google Pixel 3a… but it's somewhat close.
However this is ~$200, while the 3a is priced around ~$600… a rip-off!
Better to get a Samsung S8 instead at that $600 price, or if you're lucky maybe a S9 or S9+ or LG G7 or LG V40.
@Kangal: Hey Kangal did you mean to respond to someone else? I've got no idea what your on about to be honest
@DannyBoy: Yeah, I think I hit the wrong reply button, sorry about that.
Though it doesn't change my comment/stance: this is an "okay" device being sold at a pretty "crappy" prices.
Nothing like the innovative way it was with the 2012 Galaxy Nexus, 2012 Nexus 4, 2013 Nexus 5, and 2016 Nexus 5X. It reminds me of the value proposed by the 2014 Nexus 6, 2015 Nexus 6p, 2017 Pixel, 2018 Pixel 2, and 2019 Pixel 3…. in other words; a rip-off.
Bought moto g6 play for $209 at Officeworks yesterday…..how much better is this deal…do your worst
Compare them.
OW one has SD430 3GB/32GB, single-SIM, no NFC, low-res screen. Positive is it's 4000mAH battery but may be negated by the 28nm CPU.
Nokia is a step up in performance, looks & features. Is it worth returning the moto?
AndroidOne with monthly security updates for 3 years means Nokia is now my recommendation for mid-range phones. The big disappointment is that Australian retailers rarely stock dual SIM models, so buy from overseas.
^^^THIS^^^
Apparently Nokia hasn't been keeping to this timeline with their phones once they are no longer current. Pity as it was an appealing aspect.
@whats up skip: Do you have some evidence for Nokia not distributing security updates?
The phones listed on Nokia Smartphone Security Maintenance Release Summary are only 1-2 months behind in releasing security updates.
@whats up skip: Nokia has been good with the security updates, but take a bit longer than Google to launch OS feature updates.
Eg. my Nokia 3 is on Android 8.1 but has the latest security patch.
true..don't know why Australian not embrace it…while they crying and moaning about how online stores killing them, THIS IS GOD DAMN REASON WHY. alot of people like myself want things like dual sims but locals doesn't have it.
Same phone is $194 at Tecobuy:
https://www.tecobuy.com/en_AU/nokia-6-2018-4gb-64gb-dual-sim…
Are you guaranteed of getting Android One with either that or the TobyDeals? They are both Android 8.0 and neither make any mention of Android One.
Not sure other than this TA-1068 model OTA updates to Android 9.0 (Pie).
So after you get it Nokia will automatically update it to 9.0?
If you bothered to look at the photo on the unit it says Android One on the back of the case. The Nokia 6 (2018) is already on the latest Pie release.
Oh dear how could I have missed that. I searched for "One" on the page and looked in the specs. I am not accustomed to looking at photos of the back of phones to find specs.
@shaybisc: Well failing that you could have just searched: "Nokia 6 2018 android one" and the very first link would have confirmed it, but it's easier to come here and post misleading info? Must be the FOMO post first think later generation.
https://www.google.com/search?q=nokia+6+2018+android+one&oq=…
@BlinkyBill: Or the sellers, either of them could have made mention of Android One, as Nokia does very prominently on their sites. Is Android One not a selling point in China?
@shaybisc: What does China have to do with it, nice way to confuse the issue.
Plus shipping
My bad .. tecobuy's shipping cost blows their price out:
Standard Shipping AU$15.00
Standard Shipping with Shipping Insurance AU$19.00
Priority Shipping AU$40.00
Priority Shipping with Shipping Insurance AU$44.00
This offer by tobydeals has free shipping.
What's the deal with "without handsfree"? No speaker phone? Can't route calls through Bluetooth?
Handsfree simply refers to the wired earphones accessory often included with new mobile phones.
Cheap headphones I don't need but with them you can get FM radio working wow hey haha
Only White at this price, but for me this is a nice white phone with a black front important to me.
Looks unique with the copper accents too.
Be wary of this seller, quite a number of people had their order cancelled on this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/449847?page=1#comment myself included.
They are HK based and take about 2 days to reply to queries. It took me 3 emails and 2 weeks to receive my refund.
Yes, there's always a risk with overseas sellers and grey imports. Personally, I wouldn't buy higher value phones this way.
To be honest 3 emails and 2 weeks is not too bad. They did resolve the matter for you. I think others affected also got a resolution? Thanks for the feedback, it's important to get an idea how trustworthy these sellers are.
Our Moto G5s Plus did not ship in 4 days. After sending an email with request for the delay explanation we were told to wait 2 more days until the unit arrives to them (running out of stock apparently). In two days the phone was sent to us and arrived within a week. Bad start but endeded up ok.
Bought this phone before upgrading to the Pixel 3XL. For the price, it can't be beat. No other Android phone even comes close. It's the perfect mid-range phone.
Are you selling the Nokia?
Lol
At least this is will be receiving updates for a while. As opposed to the LG
This or the Xiaomi Mi A2 ? Anyone have any feedback ? I believe Xiaomi Mi A2 is Android One as well ?
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8972&idPhone2…
I have both these phones but as I am not using either as my daily phone, I can only talk about light part time use at home, mainly on wifi. Both these phones have a great solid build, but I prefer the smoother rounded curved edges of the Mi A2 and the longer form factor with the larger 6" 18:9 screen, although colours are nicer on the 6.1.
Performance wise you can notice the faster cpu and cat 12 modem of the A2, but in real world use you might need the B28 and expandable storage of the 6.1. To me the A2 looks and feels a newer more modern phone, but for this price the 6.1 is top value.
This phone built are great but disappointed are battery not that good… there's an issue with receive txt while on calls or can't surfing while download.
Dual sim with micro sd as Well?
Pretty sure the MicroSD takes a SIM spot. So 2 x SIMs or 1 SIM, 1 MicroSD. Not all 3 together.
^^^Correct^^^
The title first says Nokia 6 and at the end says 6.1, am i missing something 🤔
Nokia 6.1 = Nokia 6 (2018)
My mum has this phone. It has some issues, like camera app freezes and crashes a lot and when answering calls on Facebook Messenger it just hangs and wont let you swipe answer. I wouldn't buy this. Already tried factory reset and all updates.
I can't get WELCOME10 to work even after I add something to take it over $200. Is that because it won't work with the 5% off?
by the way, no once considering the 6.1 plus instead for ~ $270?
They culled NFC in the 6.1 Plus. Moved it into their pricier 7.1.
It's a decent option. The 6.1 Plus has a more modern look (notch and 18.9 aspect ratio), upgraded processor (SD 636 vs SD 630) and better camera (dual instead of single). Depends on the person if it's worth the extra $71, it might be a good choice for those who find the 6.1 a little dated looking and like the notch + don't use NFC as Cheaparoo mentioned.
Why don't we see many deals for Xiaomi Mi A1/ A2 these days?
One was posted a few hours before your comment FYI. See Xiaomi Mi A2 Product Tag
Anyone get this deal and have feedback on whether it was shipped/received? I ordered it but after few days of no response emailed to follow up. Received response saying white was sold out and did I want blue (which has just been posted as another deal)? I accepted but as yet haven't had any shipping confirmation.
Ordered a week ago, haven't heard or received anything beyond the initial automated email.
Update: Received phone today. Even though was told would get blue TA-1068 ended up being TA-1043 but still says 4/64 so hopefully all good. Bit of mystery about 1068 Vs 1043, and 3/32 Vs 4/64 as mentioned in other deal comments…
Has anyone received phone or a tracking number?
No tracking number yet, but did just get email saying it has been dispatched.
Still waiting here, no communication from them.
I had to contact them to get a status update. They advise running out of this model TA-1068 and offered a TA-1043.
More details in this thread https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/458151#comment-7295872
My unit has shipped and I now have a tracking number, unsure if i will receive a unit with 3/32 or 4/64.
You got it yet?
@pierre6: Yes has arrived, TA-1043 4/64gb. I posted in the other thread. If you haven't received yours you may wish to email support and or message TobyDeals-Sophia.
Just received my order :o
Box says ta-1043, 4/64
Great. Did you get the blue or white one?
Blue, from 2nd deal. Just realised this thread is for first white phone…
Nice little four week interest free loan I gave TobyDeals. Flappin hopeless mob, stay away.
Does this phone have dual VoLTE capability?
So I could use say one sim for data when I see the cheap sim deals and one sim for my usual phone number. Simultaneously so I can still receive calls while I use data on the other.
I couldn’t find info on this specific model whether it supports it or not, but I did see some sources saying the Nokia 6.1 does support dual VoLTE.
Anyone know?
