Just got this in an email from Mwave. Seems like a good price but it appears you need to be a mVIP?

mVIP???
Give me a break. How many stores are turning to ‘membership’ fees these days. Costco and amazon I can understand - with the huge variety of stuff, but mwave?
I know right! Caught me by surprise. I have been purchasing from Mwave for years and this is the first I have heard of a membership.. Either way still pretty good price. BTW you get 1% reward by the looks of it plus other benefits. https://www.mwave.com.au/catalog/mvip
I used to love mwave. Have bought from them plenty of times. I only hope their VIP deals are worth the cost of admission.
I bought it in like June last year? It's been OK. Saved enough on shipping to make it worthwhile, but not so amazing I'd recommend it to everyone.
Umart now also has a Premium membership https://www.umart.com.au/premium.html
The only difference is that you automatically get it by spending over $150 threshold.
They have had that for many years. They just didnt really announce it as a site feature until recently, it was just there. Same discount and benefits still though.
Really bad processor. Its only a i7 processor with dual core.
The vast majority of notebooks have dual core i7's
They simply don't have enough physical size or capability to deal with anything more.I'd gladly give up a few mm in size to have a quad core and a little more battery in a notebook anyday, these exist but are a bit few and far between.
Nope,Intel 8th Gen processors have Quad core CPUs.The Surface Laptop 2 has Quad core processors with the same laptop size. The Physical die size of a processor and Core count doesn't work that way. The newer processes actually reduce the transistor size and can fit more transistors in a same size die.
Previous Gen Microsoft Surface 13.5" Notebook i7-7660U - please have this in mind if ordering - cannot be compared to current gen due to multiple improvements in the 8 series intel processors.
Personally I won't buy this at this price
not a deal at this price.
Where did they get rrp 4,099 from? For the last gen, no thanks!
Probsbly in 2012
If it was Surface Book 2 then you'd have a deal, this has no GPU and is only a dual core processor
Maybe good alternative if you dont mind spending few hundred more than a surface laptop 2 256gb model and want more storage space
This is the last generation surface laptop
