You're right. When I used to have one, this was definitely an issue. Almost impossible to see the time at night time due to the sensor dimming the screen excessively.
Normally it's the opposite with digital alarm clocks, they are too bright and light up the room! I'm happy with excessive dimness :-)
Yep, I'll take too dim over too bright.
@muwu: Agreed - but in my experience - and apparently many others, this is so dim you really struggle to see it - pity as in other ways it's a great unit (if you can ignore it's a clock ;) )
So, how does receiving the FM frequencies work on this… like is there an antenna that extends from the unit, or is it built into the chassis?
Sorry for the stupid question. I'm looking for an upgrade and one of the reasons is because I have one that has an extendable antenna that keeps falling out of reception and the alarm ends up being silent (i.e. not waking me up) :(
I've had one of these before. Great alarm clock and suprisingly powerful speaker inside. Cheapest I've seen it too
