“Up to 0.9A” charge rate.
Thanks! Grabbed one from eBay
Can this charge car batteries?
"Suitable for all 12V battery types up to 30Ah, including Gel, MF and Acid batteries which means you can use this charger to do everything and not worry about having the right charger for the right battery. Heavily discharged batteries as low as 4.1V can be charged if the battery is not damaged which means there is a good chance a battery you are thinking of replacing can be top up with more juice."
Bear in mind the up to 0.9 amps as quoted above.
Not really. It would take forever. Get a 5amp charger or better
Great for bikes, but wouldnt use it on the car 😏
Can it does Lithium motorcycle battery ?
Depends on the lithium battery, what does the manufacturer say? Does it have any protection for charging with standard chargers?
I can not remember the instruction that goes with the battery , I just want something plug in 24/7 to keep it ready to use any time , the battery is LiPo type.
Speaking of manufacturer directions if you plan to buy this charger you should contact the Oxford distributor first as many chargers have pulse stages without mentioning it in the specs and this unit has precious little info in the specs at all.
Also there is no benefit to leaving a lipo on charge as they do not discharge much over time when disconnected.
@0jay: Thanks for that , did not think about LiPo do not discharhe much over winter .
Lithiums are pretty well good with any charger that doesn’t utilise a pulse program.
I would say not suitable for lithium. You will need to most likely balance charge a lithium to make sure each individual cell is at the correct voltage. Unless the battery has the smart to do that for you. But I wouldn't use a standard car charger for lithium unless it says lithium. Even with lithium there are different lithium charging voltages depe sing on the lithium type of battery. eg, lipo or life
Charge profile is broadly comparable to AGM. As for balancing cells any decent LifePo4 battery with dual terminals will have a BMS for that purpose. A lithium charger has no ability to balance cells of a dual terminal battery. If you’re talking lithium polymer they don’t have multiple cells so far as I know.
