Only get that if you: wont the lotto

    • It’s almost as painful as listening to the local radio news reader say million…

      “At a price of 2 miewyun dollars…”

I cringe every time he is on the radio and says it.

"Yeah I just gotta raise so I thought I'd treat meself to a Rolls-Royce"

I'd be able to quit my day job. But I like my day job.

I'd be able to buy all I desire. What I desire isn't extremely expensive and I own most of it anyway.

I'd be able to travel the world. No desire to leave my workshop.

I would tell everyone but since nothing will change, no one will believe me.

  • I would put a clear picture of my winning ticket on Facebook, tell the world and not collect in a year. Give me time to think about what to do with my winnings.

    • You could put it in a high interest savings account for that time instead to make even more money or you could just comfortably live off the interest earnings for awhile.

Didn't this question get asked like only a week ago?

  • I'd tell no one. And I'll just tell people I found all the nice things I buy.

    I won $24 tonight…………..there, I told the internet.

Wow, I'm so happy for you, raytriplej. Can you spot me some money? You surely don't need all that money.

As a rich friend of mine, I expect you to pay for everything now. Again, congratulations!

I wouldn’t change my lifestyle or anything, I’d still work.

WTF! ZOMG! You’re out of the penalty box! Welcome back, little buddy. Please stay with us this time. Place feels kinda empty with all the major celebrity personalities penalty boxed at the moment.

Lotteries are rigged and they only let anglo's win so who cares

    • I wouldn’t mind this if they would only let Anglos with proper grammar and spelling win’t the 30 milliom dollars.

      I'm naming my son "Anglo"

If I “won’t” the lotto? As in won’t play it? Or want? Who doesn’t want the lotto?

Anyway, if I won lotto, I wouldn’t tell anyone outside my immediate family, meaning my wife and kids. As soon as you let anyone else know, it’s hands out and sob stories.

The people in your family that would benefit most by you sharing it wouldn’t be the ones asking for a hand out and they would be close enough that you would already know who and what they needed.

Depending how old the kids are, I wouldn't tell the kids either. Just the wife.
Children just can't seem to keep their mouth shut when it comes to something they can brag about.

  • After a close work colleague won $7 million many years ago, I can confirm that it certainly changes how people relate to them. He tried keeping it a secret so he could continue his job as usual. Once everyone at work found out, he didn't last much longer.

I wouldn't tell anyone for twelve months… If I survived those first twelve months, and didn't die whilst snorting cocaine from the breasts of seven women at the same time, AND I still had some money left, then I'd tell my family.

  • Just interested to know…. how do you think knowing about your big win would change how others 'related' to you? Sure, hands out and sob stories, but do random people seriously expect you to give away money? No-one does that! Also, there are plenty of rich people around… do they have the same problems? Or is it the windfall that makes it different? Just wondering why most would keep it a secret…

  • The answer lies within the question.

    Wife, accountant, lawyer. That's it.

  • I'd leave a country next day after collecting the jackpot.

  • Lottery winners used to be publicised in Australia until one enterprising individual decided to kidnap a winner's son for ransom and ended up killing him. Better to keep it a secret.

    Whhhhhat???!!!

I'd totally tell my wife and family.

Split it quite evenly and tell friends I've won a minor jackpot like 100k or something to cover for my new luxuries.

Gotta keep working or else my brain would turn to smoosh

  • It's hard not to tell family members when you move into a $10 million house and then you invite them over.

    • It's not difficult if you tell them that you used Bitcoin to buy the house.

ohh, the $10M house? Paid with Bitcoin
      The pink Lambo? Bitcoin
      Jetski? more Bitcoin
3-month world tour? Bitcoin of course.
      Hermes? B I T C O I N.
500 kg tungsten cube in the driveway? Have a guess.
