    • That's actually pretty funny

'‘Eligible Items’ means all items listed on eBay.com.au where these terms and conditions are found and the coupon redemption code PEEL20 is displayed in the item listing.'

    Yeah cbf looking.

I debated this with ebay staff. They're investigating. I have a cart of 7 items totalling over $120 in none of the excluded categories or excluded sellers (they gave me an Officeworks example though interestingly these terms don't exclude them). End answer is that PEEL20 won't show on items less than $120, yet terms still say '$120 per transaction' so cart value should still be eligible. I'm continuing to escalate

I don't know if this is a mobile thing, it seems impossible to search within a deals listing. I'm using Firefox maybe it's that. These offers are painful… I don't want to scroll through 5000 items.

This is so frustrating. Been waiting for another 10% off sitewide to pull the trigger on a Galaxy S10 from T-Dimension (doesn't work with either this 10% code or the last one). Strongly hoping this is not the end of 10% off sitewide for good…

  • +3

This is no different to the PKOALA code, seems to only apply to local sellers with high rep.

    • +1

      Max discount is higher

    • PKOALA has also expired.

  • +2

This is terrible, not good for sellers either because if buyers don't get 10% off sitewide promotions they're less likely to buy things…

  • Which good phone I can get for $120 ?

Maybe a second hand LG G3 - put a new battery in and load lineage OS and you'll be right

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-G3-32GB-Unlocked-SIM-Free-Sma…

Don't expect stellar photos or performance, but it should be more than capable for phone usage and internet related activities.

Or there is the LG G4.

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Sealed-Factory-Unlocked-LG-G…

I'd stay away from anything with a Snapdragon 810

      • do you know if this is better than S5 ?

        • Probably not. S5 might have more accessories available for it. I don't know how easy Lineage OS is to put on it, you'd need to check YouTube.

S5 is probably better, but more expensive.

      That's at least 6 haircuts.

      • +2

That's how budget works, man … i have limited allocated for haircuts, so I got to be smart.

      • If you can find a tafe near you that offers hairdressing courses you can get free haircuts

      • Are you kidding me??? $ 120 for me translates into 17 haircuts and massage sessions….and I would still have some change to buy bubble tea! You're a big spender :(

          • @[Deactivated]: Thanks - now I get it. in Melbourne, you could get a buzz haircut for $ 7 (men only). $ 20 here will get you a haircut with a nice girl who looks she belongs to a Kpop group.

            • @Gorodemon: In Perth it'd be so much more and done by somebody's frumpy grandma or a hipster dude ($50 minimum for the dude)

            • @Gorodemon: $10 in Perth for a buzz cut… for $12 they use scissors. lol.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Fark. That's a thread and a half of abuse yet people help out.

Maybe I need to treat em mean to keep em keen, as I get very few responses :p

    • I'd go for this one

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Huawei-Y6-2018-Optus-Prepaid-4G-…

$125 after code. Just jump on the Optus live chat and say you are going overseas and they will give you unlock code for free.

    • Gome U7 from banggood

  • Why is it that every deal so far which hasn't specified much other than "its X% off" is always for phones and useless shit like log splitters.

    • +1

Seems to work for most items, you just have to reach the minimum spend.

      • had 280 in my cart. Didn't work :) That was about 5 items.
But oh boy, I will be buying 100 shake weights.

  • +2

No deal… not one item in my cart has a discount

    • +1

You're just buying the wrong things!

    • Same for me :(

  • +2

    PEEL20 but 10% off?

    • +2

PEEL20 gives you 20% off if you're an eBay Plus Platinum member with 10+ years membership.

      • So no-one then?

        • Exactly!

  • If you are after CCTV security system, this seems okay with the discount. (cheaper than the Swann site)

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Swann-8Ch-Security-System-w-DVR-…

I know some people bag Swann, but I've had an older Swann system for a few years now and it works well. I have ours set up with a spare monitor so we can see who is coming to the door or whether the postie has left us anything.

This is POE and has 8 cameras, so even if you only install 4 like me, you have some spares. Buying cameras separately is not cheap.

  • I can already see price increases. TV I was looking to buy has price increased from $745 to $795…

what are eligibal items? trying buy a samsung galaxy watch, give error "This code can't be applied to your order."

  • -3

can anyone find me a decent dyson deal, v6, v7, v8

  • +1

    nothing there

  • Won a pair of $150 shoes, code can't be applied - definitely not like the old sitewide discounts.

    • +2

The new codes no longer working for Auction items…dump Ebay

  • Very frustrating code, maybe it's eBay's scheme to make customers browse through tons of listings

  • Looking for Xiaomi mi 9 6GB/128GB deal. It hardly has a discount on eBay.

  • I won 2 items from same seller on auction. The "pre-owned" one is eligible, the "used" one is not. So looks like code doesn't apply to "used" items.

    • It will but the seller need to be top rate seller

      • They are top rated seller. 1000+ sales and 100% positive feedback.
Not sure what's the difference between used and pre-owned though

        • All the rules ebay set up mean to be wired so people need to do treasure hunt

  • How certain is it that code will expire today? No mention of a date specifically in the T&C's.
I've ask a seller to combine fees but I'm afraid they won't do anything until tmr, so wondering if I should pay right now or wait tmr…
