Zero Brokerage for ETF Buy & Sell Trades until June 30 [New Customers] @ Belldirect

200

Belldirect is offering brokerage refund for ETF (buy & sell) trades for new customers who sign-up and trade before June 30th.

Website does not provide a list of eligible ETFs, hence I assume all ETFs should be eligible for the offer.

Join Bell Direct and get free ETF trades until June 30th. It works like this:

Join Bell Direct. It's easy and all online.
When your trading account is open, choose the ETFs you want to buy or sell.
Place an order to buy (or sell) your ETFs before COB 30 June 2019. It's like trading shares.
Refunded at the end of the promotion period.

You’ll save $15 per trade or more depending on how many times you trade. Check out our usual fees here[https://www.belldirect.com.au/smarter/fees-advanced].

Remember, it’s your trades that are free of brokerage – the ETFs providers charge their own management fees.

This is not financial or investment advice. Do your own research.

    Good offer.

Alternatively there have been some decent NABTrade free brokerage deals in the past which would be the same too.

Other option would be to use something like Spaceship and get access to their "Index" or Custom portfolio - both of which have 0 mgmt feese for under $5k and 0 brokerage, and offers a generous $20 referral: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/spaceshipinvest.com.au

Just for ETFs and not stocks? Meh, would rather use a NAB/Commsec offer. How many ETFs are you gonna buy and sell in a couple months? lol

can you just buy and then transfer to your existing brokerage account?

    • (hijack) Hey how does NAB trade and Commsec compare to ANZ share trading (formerly Etrade?)

      • Commsec's platform is the best Australian platform IMO - good website and app experience. Others all have their pros and cons.

  • Is this a good platform for trading short? If a recession is imminent, how would it affect existing short trades when last time they prohibited them?

    • AFAIK they don't allow short trading.
You can buy call/put Options but they don't allow Option selling.

    • This should work out well.

      Buy a bear etf

  • is this the same as self-wealth ?

  • SelfWealth is still the cheapest CHESS sponsored brokerage in Australia today.

NABTrade is even cheaper than BellDirect for trades less than 25,000 (see the comparison here https://www.belldirect.com.au/smarter/compare-us)

I think you mean cheaper for trades less than $5000, not $25,000; cheaper by 5 cents.

      • Sorry for the typo, I mean $5,000 not $25,000. Thanks for pointing it out @CaptainCoolio
