  • This mob any good?

Currently with Vanguard but thinking of swapping.

I use Betashares Direct (no brokerage) and Pearler which is awesome for an overview of your entire net wealth.

      • Thanks! I came across both of these during my research and both seemed pretty good. Do you have a preference out of the two at all?

        • I can't go past Betashares for ETFs with no brokerage and a beautiful user friendly platform. For individual shares I prefer Pearler. Heard about both of them from the Aussie Firebug podcast (I am only interested in boring, long term investing although I am risking 10% of my portfolio in the Betashares CRYPT ETF)

@DoctorArd: Ah cool! Thanks for the feedback. I’m the same I just want boring long term investing too, I’m pretty novice at it. Think I might check out Betashares. Thanks again for the info!

For anyone wondering what you have to do to access the $20 "cash" reward:

By participating in this Campaign and receiving the Cash voucher in your account, you agree that you will only be able to withdraw it (AUD 20)after you have completed 10 trades that are ≥USD 3 (or of equivalent value) since you've opened your Tiger account. Foreign currency exchange transactions are not regarded as "trades".

    • Does this apply to the $2000 -> $40 cash voucher?
Can I open account, deposit $2000, withdraw $2040, and leave the other $20 in the too-much-effort basket?

If they're not letting go of $20 easily I doubt they will for $40!

        • Might put this deal in the round file then.

Stay away from these guys if you want to trade on a regular basis, their fees are quiet deceiving . They advertise $1.99 per trade but that's the minimum they charge, if you are buying penny stocks some times the fees are almost 1% of the transaction, so buying n selling will cost you 2% which is ridiculous.

These guys seem reasonable also for AU/US trading - https://www.superhero.com.au/compare

  • They are still the only broker/promoter I have experienced who doesnt pay out for promotions.

Avoid Tigerbrokers and use Betashares for zero fees or Sharesies for micro investing instead
