Its to justify the price I suppose. I reckon it should be 10yrs. Anyway its designed in NZ and Top3 is a great Aus designer store trying to keep things going in such a hard consumer environment. The owner even took my order one day after hours on one of my online chats. Matched a non stock item which was actually a Blunt.

@mskeggs: Weird. I did a checkout to test and no charges for postage. Is there online chat available? If it totals $100 there shouldn't be postage unless maybe its the classic larger umbrella size and they consider that as bulky item and charge. All I can say is it should work on the Metro ones.
Does it come with verbs?
A few different colours & styles. The Metro is small and good for your backpack. The classic which is a normal size doesn't fold up into a compact size. The standard does have a larger canopy size to protect you from the rain.
Good quality umbrellas. I have a metro xs and it fits in the side compartment of my car and my backpack. It withstood monsoon season when I was in HK/China and handled the high winds no problem.
