The only problem I've encountered with Umidigi is the phone can be easily bent, and there are hardly any proper cases for their phones.
I got the F1 recently and it seems pretty strong (I haven't had it long). It came fitted from the factory with a genuine rubber case and screen protector. I don't normally bother with phone protection, but I'm using them on this as they fit perfectly - and came fitted.
So far I'm very impressed by the phone. There are really only two complaints: I wish I'd paid the few dollars extra for the F1 Play for the better camera, and the android is very slightly customised so some settings are not available (eg icon shape).
I find the camera acceptable. I wonder how much better the play camera actually is.. Would have been an extra $50, but my wife uses her pixel for family shots so nothing would have even come close to that quality I reckon
Massive 5150mAh battery, shame about the CPU, "almost" a contender for a new phone for me….
I get 10 hours screen on time with moderate use, browsing and videos but no gaming. CPU is great for this application. No lag
Pay the extra and get the F1 or F1 play for a P60 or P70 processor.
I think the F1 Play is the deal :)
The F1 was cheaper than this Power deal using shop backs offer at the time. P60 on that is fine, not sure about the P35 on this howver

Previously had UMI phones. Both had expanding batteries and the GPS was shockingly inaccurate. May have improved now but check the reviews
No matter what phone I have GPS seems inaccurate. I swear I throw it off somehow..
Expanding batteries sounds bloody horrifying though.
Yes, about the only thing phone measure accurately is time …
The box it doeesn't tick is Android One.
It has a very close to stock version of Android.
I actually prefer it's gestures compared to my wife's pixel 2xl
Android One is more than just stock Android. It includes Android OS updates for two years and regular security updates for 3 years.
I'd also settle for manufacturer support for custom ROM like 'LineageOS'.
This phone really does tick all my boxes but I'm going to wait for reviews to be honest. Thankfully my current phone is still going strong, so no rush.
now if only it had a SD855…
yeah I know, champagne taste, on a cask wine budget.
Only thing that concerns me about UMIDIGI is the future updates
yeah, future update is very important to me too. Umidigi is not well known to support their phones after launch.
FWIW, I just noticed that my umidigi F1 can do VoLTE - even though it's not on the Telstra supported handset list.
