I bought this some years back. And while I was under the car, the hydrolics buckled. If not for the jack stands, I would not be here talking to you. ALWAYS USE THE JACK STANDS….ALWAYS!
Definitely! Always work with the knowledge that jacks can and do fail. I had one fail when I was working on a car, thankfully it released over a few seconds and I was next to the car, not under it (replacing wheel bearings), but it served as a permanent reminder of possibilities.

Yep, a nearby neighbor lost his life from a similar accident. I don't know the exact details but it was just tragic. Always have a backup and glad you are safe Lexus101. I have been under cars for so many years when I was young working under my old Kingswood. Though I was young I was still worried enough to have 9 inch spare tire under the car just in case the trolley jack slipped.

Minimum height is too high for many cars these days except 4WD' amd SUV's, even at stock height this doesn't fit under my Passat
A $600+ low profile Jack was still to high on a MY17 hsv senator that I was helping to remove the transport blocks from new. A 5-10 job took forever 😂
Try a low profile jack. Sold in many places.
