G'day everyone,
I would be greatly appreciative of your help here with answering one quick question. Thank you everyone! :)
How much do you spend roughly on rubbish bags per month?
G'day everyone,
I would be greatly appreciative of your help here with answering one quick question. Thank you everyone! :)
How much do you spend roughly on rubbish bags per month?
None. Will probably have enough for another year.
I don't even spend $5 a year on them. 1 roll of large bags lasts all year.
Roughly $2. Small rubbish bag from Woolies. https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/517049/sel…
Too bloody much. Used to spend zero.
I can't remember the last time I bought them. I use probably 2 a week, so based on the above 10c a week.
Makes me laugh at all the doomsayers complaining when woolies/coles stopped giving free plastic bags that they use for rubbish.
Grab a few $0.15 bags when I do the shopping, and these get used for rubbish
shrug
$3.50 for a pack of 50 biodegradable from Woolies. I will probably get four/ five weeks from them. We try and watch what we throw away. Very little scraps go in there. We don't over prepare food. Rarely eat meat.D'ont peel potatoes.
zero. still have a massive stockpile which I am saving for soiled diapers. We line those produce/cardboard boxes my hubs gets from work and dump the rubbish straight in the big bin, or just dump the whole lot when the box gets too grotty
How could you possibly not have enough bags?? EVERYTHING comes in PLASTIC these days, just improvise.
Dog biscuit bags, Post/ Parcel deliveries, Fruit n veg ..bags.
Even the food itself, bag of chips…bag
Count how many rubbish bags are in your rubbish bag!
Agreed! I do the same. Very easy to do and you’ll be surprised at how many bags you’re still throwing away!
$0/m for me too.
Thanks for the response, everyone! Happy Easter :)

Can we follow the Japanese in this aspect pretty please?
Just imagine if the whole world did recycling and zero waste policies like this?
I want to live in that world.
We're still very long way to go in comparison with the Kamikatsu people. But what a system to strive for! I totally concur.
Even if we do a little bit every day it is better than falling back into decline I say.
It is ok to stuff up or miss or be bad on some days as not everybody is perfect but yes it is a nice goal to strive to and maybe even think of new cool ways to deal with the problem/situation.
I think you need to split it up more, most people will be under $5. If you get a bag a day then that's just $3 a month.
Might be too late to change it though, depends on if you need this for research or something. lol.
I think it would be better like <$1, $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $5+
Unfortunately the poll cannot be edited once it's published :(
How come 0 is not an answer? I spent nothing on bags
$0.
I use the free bags from Kmart, The Reject Shop, local fruit shop etc.
yup when i shop at Kmart - i always try to grab a few extra bags :)
I have a box of Coles bags I think I still have about 980 left :)
i still got plenty left from the loot before the ban
you can still get from the rolls at fresh fruit/vege section
