you get what you pay for, unfortunately. AMD and HD screen, no. however this is Inspiron 3000, you can easily swap out screen on that, that'll cost you up to $120 for a goog FullHD IPS panel.
I don't know for sure, but in the past some of these deals were only valid for previous Dell outlet customers.

no, that is just about how the outlet works. you choose the unit you like, take the order id, and open chat window to purchase it. there's no other way to purchase from outlet besides the chat, so that's just about that.
@ccsvchost: if you never purchased from Dell outlet before, here's how it goes:
- choose a model, get the order number
- chat (you may need to wait in the queue, once in a while it can be a long queue)
- give the rep the order number, and confirm its still available
- verbally confirm that you want to buy the unit
- the unit is removed from the site and reserved
- give contact details and delivery address
- next your chat is ended
- wait till you get a quote in email
- reply to accept quote
- wait for invoice in email
- pay either via bank transfer or chat again to pay with a credit card
- you can track your order online from now on (finance clearance, warehouse, shipment)
- you get your Dell machine :)
I think refurbished latitudes and xps are best value. they disappear off the shelves even when there's no sale
This is a small sample size but I bought a refurbished Alienware from Dell and it's had a lot of trouble. Battery dying and HDD dying. And just generally sluggish for what the specs should be.
