Looks to be about 2.5”.
Free Delivery with Amazon Prime.
How does the speed compare with the SanDisk Extreme from the other deal?
not sure about speed difference but this is an internal SDD while the Extreme is a portable SDD
You could chuck it in an external enclosure.
yup - though i am a noob so i don't know how to do that! anyway, i was just responding to the question to give the dannos an idea as to its other differences
The Extreme is marginally faster, with reads of 550 vs 535 and writes of 500 vs 450.
The Extreme is an external device supporting USB 3.1 Type C with a rugged exterior, but will require the use of an included adapter to use on USB Type A. Sandisk Plus is an internal SATA 3 2.5" drive.
I'm seeing consistently bad reviews on this Sandisk Plus line (albeit lower size).
I wanted to upgrade my 512 GB SSD, but it seems like I'll pass for now.I don't get why the down-vote, but sure, go ahead and get it for the price.
A real bargain… until you measure the new speeds you are getting and wonder why didn't you go with a Samsung EVO.Yeah, the more recent reviews paint the drives in a negative light.
If your computer case has a M.2 socket - you will obtain faster throughput with something like this:
Silicon Power 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 R/W up to 3,200/3,000MB/s SSD (SU001TBP34A80M28UA)
I think your motherboard will need to have an available M.2 Socket NVMe with PCIe 4x lane to be able to use the much faster Silicon Power drives you linked at full speed.
How about for a Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 3 motherboard @toasty ? That's what I as considering…

A quick google search tells me you may need to update to the BIOS to get the M.2 NVMe SSD working at PCIe 2x (not full PCIe 4x speed) and that when using the M.2 socket you will lose all except 2 SATA ports.
You might be better off getting a X99 or Z170 motherboard.
It'll be useful to include the size in the title
