You and I have a differently sized pile of dollars.
I would look at the LG G7.
It has good specs and relatively recent model so likely to be good for a couple of years at least.
Battery life is good but as with any phone will drop with time.
Most modern phones these days will autocorrect your sentences so they start with capital letters. All major phones are on a one year cycle. They have also reached a level of technical sophistication that anything you choose will take good photos and have a battery which will last for two years. Android and iOS are not as different as they once were, although I still find iOS apps to be more polished than most Android apps. I don't think you could go wrong with the s10e or s10.
Google Pixels. You'll always have an up to date OS, support for 18 months after use.
I'm very happy with my Nokia that has the Android One support for the same period for a considerably lower price.
My galaxy S8 is 17 months old and just got Android Pie…
Get on the internet (sarcasm) and look at what is available in your price range with the features you want.
There will be fanbois for all makes and models regardless of their phone being a good buy or not.
All electronic devices become obsolete these days, it is impossible to avoid.
Wait for 5G capable phones to come out before you buy
regarding that, until 5g is set up properly and all networks inlcuding kogan get it, wont it be time for a new phone. im guessing it will take like 4 years.
14 years.
Samsung J5 Pro
For long life it would have to be iPhone…they keep going and going
Phones with Android One (Nokia, for example) get Android updates for the longest time.
IMO, you’d be looking at a current, or now second generation iPhone, which will still receive the latest OS, and therefore latest security patches, updates etc. However, iPhones are outrageously expensive. I believe that some Android models, such as the Pixel, might receive newer upgrades, but I’m not sure.
iPhone XS Max
The latest model that your budget would allow
was gonna recommend the Xiaomi Pocophone F1
but it has its downsides like no nfc, issues with netflix, miui (it is not bad but it is not the best OS I have ever had the pleasure to use daily)
honestly you do get what you pay for sometimes but is having the luxury of samsungs ecosystem really that worth it? for some yes.. for me no not even a maybe.. would rather spend that money elsewhere
I would look at some of the Moto's offerings as they seem to be doing really well in terms of price to performance ratio
Any iPhone 7 onwards
basically asking whats the best deal dollar for dollar right now in your opinion right now,. im moving towards the s10e or s10
