@videoman: The fans themselves are fine as far as pure function as a fan is concerned, but when compared to the next two generations of Riing fans (the included fans are the first generation of riing fans), they are very basic.

My case now looks awesome, but after buying 6 riing trios that cost about 200% of the cost of the case itself.
@Budju: I would have loved to get the Riing plus or Corsair's LL120s but I can't justify the price.
I just need a bit of light in my fractal meshify c mini TG, the frosting is so dark I can't see anything inside.
Might as well be able to see inside if I have a glass panel.

Does anyone know if this is suitable to replace my Fractal Design R5 Mid Tower with Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler? Never switched out a case before
From the specs, the View 31's CPU clearance 180mm, and NH-D15's is 165mm in height. It should be OK.

Was planning on YouTube learning and building a gaming PC… complete noob.. Would this be a good place to start? Or do I need to have a specific case for specific parts?
Should be ok it's a mid size tower which means it will fit almost all the components.
One of the biggest issues I had before was the case being too tiny to fit the graphics card like 10 years ago, shouldn't happen nowadays unless you go for the tiniest cases.

But even if you do buy the wrong card, you can remove the hard drive cage and fit it in. I pretty much always remove the hard drive cage nowadays since I run SSDs exclusively in gaming PCs and that cage is a waste of space/airflow imo
This a great case for a new build, first timer or not.
It is an ATX size case which means it will fit any size motherboard you purchase.
The only consideration with Mid ATX cases, is that sometimes the space for the graphics card is not long enough for some of the mid-high end cards with the huge cooler/fan arrays (i ran into this problem myself with several graphics cards/cases) Sometimes i can JUST get them to fit, other times i have had to order one of the smaller cards to get it to fit.
Edit: Just noticed they do list dimensions for the graphics card space:
Max VGA Length: 278mm (with HDD Cage), 420mm (without HDD Cage)
Thanks for the replies guys! So the main consideration is the graphics card size? Just had a quick look at the RTX 2060 which is 264.9 long and 120.58 wide.. No issues with that?

Optical drives have fallen out of favour with builders. USB flash drives have taken their places. Get an USB external drive or enclosure if you need one.
You can get an external optical drive if you really need one
Some aftermarket CPU coolers are really big, so mind the width of the case to make sure it fits.
I have an optical drive in my case that I haven't even had hooked up for 5+ years just to fill the slot as I've lost the front piece of the case that would cover it. Glad to finally ditch it if this case does arrive and isn't just a price error.

I have this case and paid at least 40% more for it, which felt like good value even then. Please be advised the included fans are pretty av, when i realised what they looked like i spent a fair bit replacing with riing trio rgb fans, it now looks great. They cost a lot though.

for those who wants to use this case make sure you dont screw too tight it breaks the metal or aluminium parts of the case i broke my side panels screw hole and it hangs to the side a little
