    I bought a few of those a few months back when they were offered here. All seemed well until my free-to-air started breaking up and dropping out. I couldn't find the problem for ages and then one day on a whim I unplugged the HDMI cable (which connected my PC to my TV and had nothing to do with the actual FTA) and the problem stopped. After some Googling I figured out the cheap cables were not properly shielded and were causing interfence. I bought some decent cables and the problem has gone away. So, yeah, first hand experience says those cheap cables can cause problems.

        Yes it was. And I only bought the ones from OW which are $20 for a 1.5m and $25 for a 3m. Anyone want some cheap/free(?) HDMI cables? XD

  I bought two 2m 1.4 cables for $5 each (delivered) from Jamell. This isn't much of a bargain at all.

  Keep in mind that the Jamell and Space Hifi cables linked to above are 30 AWG v1.4, not 28 v1.3, so its hard to make a direct comparison.

  28 AWG 1.0m HDMI v1.3b $11.95 (although braided and has Gold connectors vs Copper and Nickel plated connectors):
