Unrelated to this, there are some amazing beer specials going on at the moment!

Removing all the extensions, the funnel is a perfect fit into the oil filler point and should stand upright unsupported.

I tried standing mine upright (as shown in the photo) and it was extremely difficult to pour the oil into the narrow spout. Also the oil ending up going everywhere but into the oil filler point.

You forgot that you live in the underside of the world.

@Nocure the superior big mouth funnel is also $1 I was going to post it but we don't need 2 funnel posts so just add it to this deal? Big mouth funnel.

  • For a second I thought SCA is selling enemas as well.

  • Seriously guys look for a better quality funnel for pouring fuel into your car. These are thin, breakable and very floppy. They work but are awful to use.

    • Thanks for the important heads up, but how often do you pour fuel into your car?

      • +1

        Everyday when long distance travelling.

        • Heard about something called "petrol station" or a "flight"?

@ocoolio: You save a lot of moolah filling up in a city, then dumping 8 jerries in to get say from Adelaide to Perth. I did this going round Oz a couple of times. Got about 10c off at Coles in major centres and saved well over $500 from memory.
And you thought you were boring…

@[Deactivated]: So you travelled well over 50,000kms in Australia using jerry cans? Sure… LOL

But even if it's true, saving $500 but shitting around with jerry cans for the following 50,000kms? No, thanks.

              (let's say a car consumes 10l/100km. A $500 savings with 10c savings / litre = 5,000 litres of petrol consumed. 5000l / 10l * 100km = 50,000km travelled).

              • @ocoolio: But you're forgeting other factors.
1/. Say avg 10kms extra milage every 400 to 500km to find reasonable priced fuel.

2/. The price in the country can be 150% to 200% of city docket-discounted fuel prices.

For me as a student travelling while studying $500 savings was worthwhile.

Pro tip: I used these very funnels for years, fumbling with them and straining my arm to keep them upright for 5 minutes while pouring oil into the engine before I realised you can unscrew the hose at the bottom and use it as a conventional funnel.

    • Indeed a Pro tip. Thanks for sharing a ery useful information.
