"or an innovative microchip 'sticker' that sitcks onto you existing SIM enabling you to switch back and forth from your home SIM via the Flexiroam App"
Sounds cool but how is it working?

    • Hi cristtos,

The microchip is 0.08mm thick and affixes to your existing SIM with the included kit. You need to install the Flexiroam X app to enable the 2nd SIM when travelling abroad. When you are finished travelling, simply switch back to you home SIM.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

  • "Data from 15 cents a day" - yeah if 27MB is your daily usage. Based on 5GB over 180 days at $139.95 Okay so the deal will be 50% off so your 27MB is like 7.5 cents. Still seems a lot. Think I will just buy a local sim when I get there.

    • Hi ShipShapeRC,

There are a range of plans available at far cheaper rates than the one you mentioned. The prices quoted are for Global Plans available in over 150 countries so it’s not really fair comparing to a Local SIM. Flexiroam also have some really cheap Local Plans, We’ll be happy to accept a challenge to match or try and beat local SIM pricing you can come up with! :)

      • Sounds good. You are sure getting a beating of feedback. Keen to see what you will come up with in the future on your site.

  • Note - quoted prices are in USD - didn't get as far through order to work out what the shipping costs are on top…

  • It is nearly always cheaper to buy a SIM at the destination.

    • This.

    • Hi mopo,

Fair enough, each to their own, though not sure is warrants a down vote. Having a dual SIM functionality and being able to messsage loved ones when you land does provide value in our view.

For clarity, the offer involves our Global Plan which is valid is over 150 countries, not comparable to a local SIM.

Good to hear the feedback though, we’ll se what else we can come back with. ;)

      • 11gb plan from you guys - $330
        12gb euro sim from 3 uk - £20 (~AU$37)

        nearly 1/10th the cost!

        • Hi mopo,

We offer plans for individual countries & regions that are competitive when compared to purchasing a local SIM.

If you know the countries you are travelling to (and when), you can mix & match. for example we offer:

          UK: 10GB for 24 days, $12.30 USD
          France: 10GB for 24 days, $10.80 USD

          Vs.

          Europe: 10GB for 24 days, $30.60 USD

          Vs.

          150+ countries 11GB for 360 days, $330 USD

Local plans are available at: https://www.flexiroam.com/pricing

Anyway thanks again for the feedback, a bit of work to do on the website (as others have mentioned) but we think we have a competitive offer for most travellers.

  • What a terrible website… thanks, but no thanks.

    • Ouch! Ok, we’ll take this onboard. In a bit of rush to get things going, but thanks for the feedback!

  • 3gb for $89.95

    I dont think so

Flexiroam recently was named the World's Leading Travel Communications Provider for 2018 at the World Travel Awards.

and just named World's Worst Travel Sim deal for 2019 at Ozbargain

    • What are the odds that Flexiroam was also a major sponsor and/or financial contributor of the very vaguely-named "World Travel Awards".

      • Hi Sporadic,

Thanks for the feedback. Although we don’t know the extent to which Flexiroam will go to gain favour from the WTA, you can check the vagueness of their website at: https://www.worldtravelawards.com

        Ultimately the customer decides. :)
