Amazon failed to deliver my Yoshi Crafted world today on release date. I pre-ordered a month a go. I'm only 8km from Sydney CBD. Wtf? Auspost is the real culprit but Amazon need to get their own delivery vehicles at this rate

    • They apparently are going to do that

Not for a while in Australia.

    • As far as I know Amazon AU warehouse is still based in Melbourne.

    • Mine arrived today 🤷

      • Same, arrived like 10am today, well, Friday.

Anything I’ve ordered on Amazon has arrived within 2 days. I have the ability to same day delivery though too. And I do live 10km from their Dandenong Warehouse

        • The weird thing is is that I had it delivered to my post office and I received a notification that the parcel was in the truck to be driven to the post office at 6:55 am and then it never showed up? It stayed in the van according to the tracking They combed the back of the post office and couldn't find it and Said it would have been scanned had it arrived. To be honest they're hopeless at this post office so it might be out the back in the wrong pile.

        • Saying you live Xkm away isn't an indicator of when things should come given orders aren't sent direct from warehouse straight to your home.

Amazon uses AusPost, so your item gets sent from Dandenong to Sunshine and back to your local distribution centre.

The reason you get it next day is because AP provide Amazon with a service called RegFast or Regular Fast which stipulates 1-2 days next day metro. RegFast at this stage is a service only provided to Amazon.

So you can live 5,10,15,20,35,50km away from Amazon and still get it next day.

Also, Same Day deliveries is an AP service called On Demand conducted via the StarTrack Courier network. Your items go to Port Melbourne for consolidation and distribution and then back out again.

          • @11112007: I suspect a contractor had the van loaded and maybe only a handful of mail needed to go to my post office and he or she didn't bother as it was out of the way on their route even though it's like 10 minutes from the depot to the post office! The customer reps at the post office were confused as to why it hasn't shown up too. I'm not too pleased about it though. You pay money for prime and release day delivery and they drop the ball. To be honest it's the first time Amazon has let me down. If I was crazy enough and super hyped, I would have gone to JB and hifi once I realised the delay and bought it and returned the copy to Amazon. I'm definitely avoiding Amazon for release day delivery if it's something I'm seriously wanting day one.

Buy the Gold version of Mario X Rabbids. It includes the DLC season pass which is great for $10 more.

  • Nice, my yoshi didn't even get shipped on Friday and I'm in Melbourne CBD
