Please use Sonos Play 1 vs Sonos one as it is confusing. It is not sonos one gen 1 or gen 2
There are two generations of the Sonos One, in addition to the oldest play:1

That is Bluetooth Low Energy which is used for initial speaker setup, not audio streaming.
