Great deal. Just grabbed one. Hopefully they'll have enough stock and it won't end up like the NBA Jam fiasco.

I guess this is a much older game though, so most may have already played it.

im pretty sure it's not region free.
if region free it would work with ntsc?

It works on Aus consoles, that's the main thing.

      • damn i can't believe i got negged for saying it's not region free. is that wrong?
some aussies own ntsc consoles you know!
simply saying pal is more correct.

        • I wouldn't lose sleep about it. Some people get off when they neg.

  • crazy-good price, for an awesome game!

So far the last three orders I have made with zavvi and thehut have been:

NBA Jam - Cancelled as they couldn't get stock
The Orange Box - Ordered March (is now scheduled for 10/6/11 dispatch)
Portal 2 - Dispatched 20/4 (still waiting on it)

    (all PS3 titles)

Not real happy with these guys, they used to be reliable a couple years back, maybe I'm just on an unlucky run…

Oh and FYI, it's 9.95 pounds on PS3 but sold out.

    • I think the deal with Zaavi is that if you get in on something at a great deal at release, or a deal that's been Ozbargained, they will probably run out of stock quickly and/or take forever to get it to you because they need to source more stock. Especially since now half of Australia buys from them. I wouldn't be surprised if we make up a great deal of their game customers.

So, moral of the story is, get in quick on popular games/cheap deals.

I've ordered a few less popular games after their release at a decent price, and haven't had my order cancelled. They still take forever to get to me though.

    • I agree…. Zavvi VERY slow:(.

I've had Amazon UK orders arrive in less than a week (faster than other products purchased within Australia!)… but then again beggars cant be choosers. When Zavvi has prices like this, hard to pass up.

But before ordering from Zavvi I always check Amazon UK. If it's a $1 or $2 difference I'll just pay extra and get from them, just so I can have item quicker.

  • great price… and yeah games from zavvi do take a while to arrive but can't complain at that price

  • I'll give this a thumbs up.
My last order with Zavvi when fine, so I snapped this one up as well.

Good game, well worth the play.
    (the first was better though).

  • I like Zavvi for older games which SHOULD be at retail now for $20 or $30 (like MGSIV, for example) but are still crazy overpriced in our retail stores.

For new releases, there's usually a good deal somewhere in Australia (usually BigW or Target), but for anything older than 3 months, Zavvi's the way to go (especially since it's not essential that you play it right away, since they take around a month to deliver anyway).

And honestly, I rarely buy new releases unless it's something major I'm dying to play (like a new GTA, a new FF, for eg), but that's uncommon.

good deal, but i didnt enjoy the game. the 1st bioshock was heaps better, this just feels like a quick addon pack really.

  • Bought this and also Lost Planet 2 for the same price

    • Already dispatched, that was quick

  • What is the surcharge from paypal or credit card company? they always add on more the bastards.

    • Not sure about any foreign transaction fees being charged but then again I use visa debit. As for paypal maybe someone here who may have had prior buying experience can help you out.

    • PayPal has no surcharge as it does the conversion and takes the equivalent AUD from your CC or Bank account. However, having said that, the conversions Paypal give tend to be crap.

The surcharge from your CC varies - I think its about 3% for Amex and maybe 1% or so for Visa/MC - best to check with your bank on that one.
