    I got more interested with this MR16 Type 12V DC Multi LED Lamp. Are these the same as down lights ?

      i tried similar to these led lights in the past and they failed after about 1 week. Leds went all brown and light output was very low, i thought that maybe the 12v a/c killed them

        12V AC is about 17Vpeak so that certainly is a possibility.
