Seems to be much more expensive than Medibank or Bupa, with higher excess based on my quote.
How can you tell? I can't see any prices on the website.
If you bothered to do a quote you would see prices
I'd like to see the prices first, before giving them my private details.
@jv: Make up the private details when getting the quote?
@jv: You obviously don’t understand what the premiums are based on
@MuddyClear: Depends on cover type
@jv: More relevant here are the personal details you don’t want to provide including dob, state, life time health cover loading, salary bracket etc. Good luck with seeing the “prices” without this information.
@MuddyClear: It's Health cover. not Life insurance.
@jv: Health cover is still a type of insurance
@MuddyClear: You might want to explain that to all the other health insurance companies that advertise their premium prices…
@jv: Those prices are based on, and I quote:
“Prices below are based on Families cover in NSW. We are under 65 years old . We have a Family income of $180,000 or less per year (25.415% Australian Government Rebate until 31 March 2019 and 25.059% from 1 April 2019).
*Assumes no Lifetime Health Cover loading and no dependants aged 21 to 24 years who aren't studying full-time.”Those prices are not applicable to everyone or accurate. I don’t think you have learned anything from the talks here.

Press the CHANGE button next to it to see the premiums that apply to you…
No need to provide personal info to get a 'quote'
@jv: And if you change the details the premiums would change based on the personal information you provide, otherwise we all would be paying the same premium. It’s like talking to a brick wall with you.
And if you change the details the premiums would change
and as you can see, they are available to to view on the website… thus my original comment…
@jv: It was an example of what the premium would be for a specific case. It doesn’t really help you judge or make a comparison against until you can be bothered doing a proper quote, which clearly you have a problem with. Health funds are not going to provide quotes without some information - they don’t pull it out of thin air like you expect them too.
It doesn’t really help you judge or make a comparison
Only because they all have different inclusions. At least you know the cost and inclusions for Medibank, unlike the one in this supposed 'deal'
@jv: Again if you bothered to do the quote you would know the exact cost and what you are covered for. Once you provide your details the fund can quote you on various levels of cover for you to choose from. You decide based on price and inclusions which cover suits you best. Health funds are not mind readers that you expect them to be.
My quote works out comparable and Vitality is an added bonus
Looked at them a week ago, their website lacks a whole bunch of info - so ruled them out.
Ie. Which hospitals and doctors do they have agreements with etc
their website lacks a whole bunch of info
eg. their premium prices…
$300 more expensive than my gmbha cover
They are quite expensive when I was looking for health insurance. I ended up join Frank which is 400 bux cheaper per year on similar level of cover.
How much are the premiums though?
