Scoopon - Essential Beauty Morley NOT Taking Any Bookings at ALL

Thousands of Essential Beauty Morley vouchers were sold on Scoopon in Feb 2011.

Last month I tried to book into this deal and was told they are taking no scoopon bookings at all due to too many being sold and staffing problems.

So, what is Scoopon going to do about this? I tried to book for any day 10 months out and was knocked back.

You should just refund all of these Essential Beauty buyers.

    they seem to have deals with alot of places that are on the verge of going out of business. if a polite request to scoopon for a refund doesn't work then you might need to complain to your local fair trading organisation.

      Why isn't Scoopon handling the refund process? Has Essential Beauty given any promises as to how long it will take for them to issue refunds? A bit unfair for Scoopon buyers to be forced to deal with another party.

    Pretty poor that Scoopon was first advised of this problem on 5/5 & it has taken them until today to respond & confirm this deal cannot be met. If Scoopon took the money for the deal, then Scoopon should be refunding it. This is a timely reminder to NEVER buy a Scoopon deal.

      Who knows how long it'll take Essential Beauty to refund, especially since they have staffing issues. If Scoopon valued its customers, it would refund them and deal with Essential Beauty in one go.

      Sounds like more work for burned customers who may not bother, thereby creating an unearned income for Scoopon and/or Essential Beauty.

      Scoopon says that THEY will refund the money when the business can't perform, not that they will advise customers to chase the business involved.

    I contacted Essential beauty today and they gave me an email address and advised to send all my details to that email address and someone will be doing all the refunds … not good enough in my opinion.

    • I was in a hair dressing shop using a deals voucher with a friend who had complained to scoopon and was LITERALLY filling out a WA dept of Commerce complaint form about Scoopon when the email came through saying scoopon had washed their hands of it and it was up to her to get the refund from Eseential Beauty. She said "CRAP, now I have to rewrite the complaint form!" It was so funny.

      That's right, so is my friend who emailed the shop owner/manager on 15/5 and was told it would be done "soon" See above where she was literally filling out her consumer complaint form against both scoopon and essential beauty and she got the email from scoopon saying that EB was doing the refunds. It has been nearly 4 weeks!!!! FFS!!!!

      Scoopon says that they will make the refund if the business can not do the work. They are operating outside the promise they make by insisting that shafted buyers go through another set of hoops to get the refund they are already entitled to. Especially when the refund hasn't been made.

      Scoopon, I am going to tell my friend to write up another complaint form. Can't hardly wait until she does. You have treated your customers like absolute crap. Are you going to give your EB buyers credits to make up for this BS?

        I personally would have filed the complaint and only cancelled it when I got the refund. Especially if it was Scoopon I was dealing with.

        • Yes, but the claim form would have had to have been rewriiten. I will start cracking the whip again. This is pretty clear cut, in my opinion.

    Wow, that is really bad form! I think as time goes by, there will be more and more formal complaints being held again both the deal websites and the struggling businesses trying 1 last ditch effort in trying to save their company by using these deals. Not cool in my books, especially for a deal dated back in Feb. Terrible!
