I'm looking to trial the Coles online delivery services but was wondering if anyone has thoughts on the FlexiFree delivery option? Is it guaranteed to delivery sometime in the 8 hr window - with some prior warning?
Alternatively is it worthwhile to take out a Coles credit card for the free delivery - if I'm planning to get deliveries weekly?
On my most recent Coles CC Statement it said they're dropping the free delivery for having the card, instead awarding 1 point extra per dollar spent. I wouldn't go for the card just for the promise of free delivery, which is still being advertised.

The card has had many of its conditions erode (and its annual fee increase) since I first got mine - the only saving grace is I have the old insurance on it, which makes it unbeatable for price protection claims.
If that feature goes, or is "deprecated", I'll be in the market for a new daily transaction and big-ticket purchases card.

What? This is the only reason I have the Coles card with no annual fee so that I can get groceries delivered every week. Scumbags they are now!
I've used the 8-hour afternoon/evening delivery window for several months (but always spend less than the $150 needed for free delivery). They send you an email in the morning with a 1-hour window (this may get delayed a bit later in the day). Then you get an SMS when the delivery is up to 30 minutes away.
