    Topping NX4 is what you want for portable.It's slightly more pricey, but can be ordered from Amazon AU and use either shopback or cahsrewards for some savings down the road.

    This is going to sound snobby, but if you own an AK Jr you should probably know the answer to this question.
    To answer the question, it will have a slightly different sound signature, overall it wouldn't make a difference it would be merely functioning a an amp I don't think the AK has usb out, plus the dac in it is a really top of the line one. Your AK jr actually can actually perform this devices function if you connect it to a PC via usb, and

  That's a lot of outputs. Does it have any inputs?

  I need something that can take optical mini toslink INput. Will this do that?
