    Couldn't imagine many SUV's would survive the 510 pounds this thing is rated for!

    I can see how the idea makes sense, but adding a boatload of weight to a part that is not designed for that purpose seems odd.

    Having said that, I imagine they have done some extended testing …

      There was a thread on here ages ago where I posted the design rules for door striker forces. The door strikers will take a lot of weight, well over a tonne of force. I would be more concerned with this thing scratching up the paint then I would be about it pulling the striker out of shape.

    Nah… soz m8, if it's $12 doorstopper, I expect it to connect to the cloud letting me know that my door is successfully stopped and then connect to my smart phone app which connects to an always online authentication server letting me know the battery level for my door stopper.
    I mean imagine I forget this door stopper on my way out of the house because I am so careless about my life to overly depend on technology that someone decides to get into my house and rob my iot Table?

    tl;dr, would buy doorstopper if it had bluetooth & wifi m8.
