I'd heard Chinese fakes are bad but … what part do you plug in to PCIe?
Use it as a boot drive.
I bought a pair of these last year, good shoes, but I have a wide foot and usually wear a size 9.5 and they are VERY narrow compared to every other pair of 9.5 shoes I own. So you might need to size up if you have wide feet.
have read a lot reviews agreeing with you in that respect so i have ordered half a size up just to be sure.
Can vouch for this. Not the best brand for wide feet. Go at least 1 size up.
Any recommendations for a wide foot hiker? I've been looking for a while. Nothing ever is in 2e size
Try Merrell. I have used it for walking in city, bush, snow, desert, salt flat, heavy rain, mud etc. its exp but worth it.
I have a wide foot. I haven’t had issues with this Salomon but I guess mine are already a little large (take a 41 but own 42).
Zamberland are a great boot. Rarely go on sale but will last forever.
I recently bought the Merrill Moab gtx boot. I’m normally a 36 in sport shoes but purchased a 37.5 hiking boot plus will require an insert for my flat feet.
Probably not your conventional choice but i bought a pair of hiking boots from the north face. It was about $180 after discount but it was soooo comfortable, wore it all over japan
My KEEN shoes seem wider than my assortment of Ozbargain-specials from Merrell, Columbia, Timberland or Colorado. (of those, Columbia are second widest across the toe.)
Use code NEWAU for $20 further off.
Isn’t that what the original post states?
Only on certain sizes. Not all sizes of the black coloured are that price.
Speedcross 4 from $134 before discount as well, but no neutral colours.
Great shoe at great price, pitty they hurt my feet. Guess I'm sticking with Merrell.
Ordered a pair and then came here to post the deal. inspectrg beat me to it, nice work.
I’ve had a pair for the last six years but the soles are starting to wear thin, not great in slippery situations so time for a new pair.
Whether I’m walking the streets of Yangon or hiking through Yoho National Park, these are the most comfortable trail shoes I have ever owned.
considered these a while ago from Kathmandu. Wiggle used to have a goretex style adidas from memory , but I was looking for some sort of "holiday" shoe to deal with wet climates/destinations. So while we aren't hiking up mountains would one recommend this as a form of a waterproof running/walking shoe? Or is this more heavy duty weight and size wise and more suited for actual 'hiking'.
Just struggling to find something that doesn't look like a mountain hiker (looks wise), to navigate city streets on wet weather. Presumably waterproofing so needing goretex or the like.
Any suggestions? Or would previousy buyers just recommmend going these Salomon's?
I bought it for the same purpose you had in mind.
how have you found them? Clunky and more for hiking? Or akin to an all day walking/running shoe?
A bit clunky to wear to work but should be ok for an adventurous holiday.
ah probably moot point now since i just saw the sizes are all gone from wiggle around the 11 USish mark.
I haven't owned a pair of Salomons myself - they're well respected but are usually at premium prices ($200). They do make lighter "trail running" shoes.
Most outdoor shoes are somewhat water resistant. Whether you need Goretex, I guess it comes down to whether you think you'll be in for a decent soaking. If in doubt, take a second pair of footwear - the sweat will kill your feet wearing the one pair 15 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Anyway, for a general purpose walking shoe I bought Merrell in the deal from 3 weeks ago. For that price, they are decent. (These Salomons have a more rugged sole for difficult terrain, perhaps) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/437801
to resurrect this topic…. but someone recently pointed out the adidas terrex are back, got phased out abit back but wiggle was doing the real sports looknig yellow colour at a decent price when on clearance… now the new adidas terrex looks alot more like a nice walking/sneaker albeit with the hiking/holidaying functionality of goretex, waterproofing etc. Pity it's $240 on the adidas website when i caught a glimpse of their phone, but something worth keeping an eye out on at wiggle?
That's a funny looking graphics card
