Is the Samsung a better buy?
The QVO performs similarly to the DRAMless drive (which this SanDisk is) in sustained workload (slightly behind when capacity is full), while better in burst workloads (and sometimes similarly to the EVO range).
Considering the local AU price point of a QVO when on sale is very much similar ($160.65 delivered from Computer Alliance eBay if you have eBay Plus), I'd go with the QVO for local warranty (while both 3 years), and possibly higher endurance (QVO 1TB is rated at 360TB, while SanDisk doesn't publish theirs. Although general consumer workload is still unlikely to meet the rated endurance in the hardware's use life).
A Samsung QVO review here by AnandTech: https://www.anandtech.com/show/13633/the-samsung-860-qvo-ssd…
(The SanDisk posted in this deal would be considered to be in the same category of SSDs as the DRAMless Toshiba TR200, and I'd say you can use it as a comparison point).

So not worth considering.
Neither is warranty for items that you're losing a couple of hundred dollars for.
This or EVO 860?
Definitely the EVO 860.
This is a DRAMless drive, unlike the SanDisk Ultra 3D SSD model which performs closer to the EVO 860 (both Ultra 3D and EVO 860 have DRAM cache to significantly help performance).
Hmm. Same price as the Samsung QVO 860 1TB 🤔
