B and h series Intel boards only do 2666 and faster is waste as b and h boards can't overclock, home and office use. 2666 would have been sweet ….so $140 for 16 gb build …
RAM speed makes no difference to general computing.

I've always assumed it had to be the two of the same stick for dual channel operation but you should check if you can do it by having exactly the same settings (although this is probably difficult to achieve).
Dual/Quad etc channel only makes a difference in very specific circumstances anyhow.
Generally mobos will scale down to the lowest speed (when you mix ram brands/speeds)
2400mhz….slow???
