Another good reason to work for westpac.

    Awesome cars and cheap phones.

@apk: And cheap S9's to play Candy Crush Saga on whilst your customers walk out the door!

    • ANZ get the same deal, NAB probably does (yet to confirm).
We had an OZBer working for ANZ managed to get OfficeWorks price beat on top of the EPP (it was a mistake made by the OW staff).
Banks aren't the only ones getting the 35% off S9/S9+ deals. No report from CBA staff (and cannot seem to find the CBA EPP link through guesswork).

      • Can confirm NAB is same as ANZ/Westpac on the discount

      • To avoid duplicating, for a list of participating orgs, refer to the following past deal:

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/439796

Cross out ones are organisations with slightly less discount or no discount (e.g. Telstra). However, apparently NAB staff do get the same deal this time.

    • I'm not sure that admitting working for a bank these days is a good idea.
      Just saying'……..

Low salary…this is how they get sheeples. $1000 in perks each year for 50% lower pay :)

    • +1

what are the cars that they offer?

      • Their investments start at $80,000

  • Mine still shows $999.00 for the S9 on the telstra multistore =(

    • +2

They are working on better deals. Saw it on yammer. Better deals on the s10 anyway

      • I second this… I'm in the enhanced partner program and cannot see the prices listed. S9 is $899 for me.

      • Samsung rep said 50% off s10 is in the works, will only be emailed to telstra partner program participants who complete the 4 Samsung s10 modules.

        • +2

          what is s10 modules

          • @SUD26: I’m guessing the staff in the retail stores complete some training on the s10 prior to release

        • Can confirm, need to complete the modules, after which you get a one-time 50% off voucher for any S10 (including + and e models).

To think all this time I'd been planning to buy a Note 9 during a price drop after the S10 release but now I'll be able to get a brand new S10 on release day for less than the Note… Am definitely quite excited.

          • @Shekster: Ohh…I work for Telstra IT…dont think its applicable to me :(

          • @Shekster: Completing modules now, have you already received the code?

            • @Dmore: Been told it'll be issued on 11/03. Not keen on having to wait but can't complain considering the massive discount.

              • -1

@Shekster: Probs still going to pre order s10+ for the s10 5g upgrade, now that I've seen videos of it from MWC.
Will defs still buy with 50% off and sell it! Haha

                • @Dmore: Update: was pleasantly surprised to receive my voucher this morning and subsequently placed an order for an S10+.

Won't get the free galaxy buds but can't complain considering I'm getting the phone for only $700-odd.

Also I'm sure you're aware, but sell at your own risk. Our terms at least strictly states it's only for our own use.

                  • @Shekster: Was it just 4 training things you had to do? I have a couple that are locked and require a password to complete. Such as: Galaxy S10 Pro-Grade Camera Quiz

                    • @Dmore: Don't have to do the ones with the password to get the code so you should be all good.

                  • @Shekster: Is this just for staff working at Telstra Stores? I belong to a different division, lol.

      • What company are you from? And what yammer group?

  • +1

Pity not an employee of any of the listed partners.

    • +1

      Yep same here

      • -6

Clearly our money isn't worth as much. I was going to purchase a phone today, but it can't be a Samsung. I'd resent the purchase for however long I had the phone, knowing I should have paid $400 less.

  • Also $1,199 to pre-order the S10+ 🤔

    • Yup.
I've noticed with most private organisations have 20% off except for:
Telstra - No S10 yet, likely holding out to promote their exclusive partnership for S10 5G
      Woolworths - 10% discount
      Aus Govt - 10% discount
      Education - 15% discount

    • +1

The 20% off won’t be eligible for the earbud according to phone rep. So if you don’t need one, good price.

      • Even if you buy the earphones separately ($249) you'd still be saving $50 dollars over the RRP.

    • +7

You can use mine, but I will need you to transfer me the $ first. I will then have it delivered to my work address where I will then contact you…

Prices are significantly higher than quoted in OP above via the Australian Govt link.

    • Oh wow, didn't know Australian Gov was part of this!

    • How much higher?

  • Offtopic who partners with dyson?

    • Nab rewards

      • But nab isnt apart of the dyson corporate program?

        • Oh sorry, but they've had sales through nab rewards

S9 for $649…..Tempting, but my S8 is still strong and waiting for Pie update to happen in weeks.
Should i buy this…cannot sell my s8 well because it has a Tiny crack on Top edge and smashed Back covered with a Decal

    • You can sell it. Just for less money.

  • Student discount…..

    • $649 very tempting….very tempting.

      • Comes up as $899.10 for me for the 64GB through the education store :S

        • Bugger. I had my hopes set on the $650 price.

        • -1

          $899.10 for S10 or S9?

          • @slackme: I'm on educ store and S9 is showing me as $899.10 too :(

        • Yes, and $1571 for the S10 Plus, 64gb.

EDIT: But I have my heart set on an Xperia. Waiting to see what the XZ4 (or XZ3 Premium) is like. Sony needs to get their act together in Australia, though. Was looking at buying grey stock, but had to jump through hoops to find a genuine outlet plug. $44 from a certified Sony repair shop. And I don't trust sellers who open the packaging. I messaged one of them about the lack of the guide/ manual. They said it wasn't available due to "environmental concerns". LOL.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Not many people wanting sony phones these days, but after I recently got my xz1 compact, I'm sold on them.
I don't think you'll get an aussie plug as they arent sold here though

            • @locosam: Great to hear someone loves something besides the iPhone, Samsung, or fricken Pocophone :) The plugs are available. If I get one I'll message you with the details.

Are prices all different for all these 'partners' of the program??

    • Hmmm, it looks like it based on other comments.

    • Yes, they are.

  • +1

Amazing how much s9 costs after 1 year. lol

  • I was wondering who would post this deal… Took someone long enough to take advantage of OZB posting guidelines.

  • Anyone can get a screenshot if the s9+ 64GB please.

    • Here is a copy again:

That's why I don't like these repeated type bargain posts allowed by OZB mods. You end up seeing same or similar questions and discussions. Replied to a similar request yesterday:

And my original post from 21/02…
I believe prices are different depending on the partner. Some partners are excluded compared to previous deals (Samsung watch for eg)

        • So you were the first person to post it. Didn't know that - and that post is much better (more informative with details). Good to know. The list in that post is great.

Hm… However, the price did drop a fair amount after you posted it ($649 vs $779). So it was good that aspirepranesh mentioned it again.

        • Weird how in your original post NAB wasn't there but now it is part of the discount group.

          • @fishball: A few people commented that their corporate partner didn't have the discount so I stroked them off. Perhaps Samsung updated since then. Would be interesting to see if I've got better discount now.

But fair enough to provide more visibility to better deal if not covered by original post.

      • Thanks, however the prices are different so that is why.
Do you mind sharing the screenshot that also shows the Samsung website. Thanks

        • What do you mean the prices are different? Post says S9+ 64GB $746.85, screenshot shows that.

          Here is another screenshot:
          https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/25097/67067/s9plus-epp…

The price is correct for most people with Samsung AU EPP access (though some organisations get less discount). You need to login to enter the EPP site (and only work e-mail will work).

          • @netsurfer: And OP still don't acknowledge my original post… Although acknowledge "looks like some partner programs have different prices" and copy/pasting my text… Sigh

            • @ShouldIBuyIt: It was the mod that changed the post and added details form your post (and I suspect it could be partially due to my comment which has a link to your post).
However, I think OP has a point too. He referenced to an even earlier post (which also has all those links, except no filtering). Furthermore, some people have reported different outcome to your post (e.g. NAB staff). That's the other thing, looking at your post now will confuse people (as the prices have dropped).

Anyway, don't worry, we know, the mods know. Mods were just trying to get up to date info to people and your post was probably a better baseline. Yes, we don't quite agree with mods decisions sometimes, but they are TPTB.

  • Is it worth it considering there are cheaper phones with SD845 albeit Chinese brands?

    • It's basically a good 1440p AMOLED with no notch or cutout hole (and kinda have HDR). It has headphone jack and you don't need to worry about not able to run Google based apps (and no missing wireless charging or NFC or band 28). Price is still expensive (despite the EPP - 35% off the new RRP).

  • Out of curiosity are there limits on purchasing via this partner program, or could someone potentially buy and resell on gumtree / fb market?

    • I think yes there restrictions not exactly sure what it is though.

    • +1

Um, it is not safe to do so unfortunately - if you looked at the past posts. It was $779 with EPP on 21/02, and $649 (not sure the exact date, but let's assume it is 23/02).

Then, based on the JB Hi Fi price match discussion, by pricing matching through Harvey Norman (Domayne) - yeah I know, who would have thought + the Amex deal posted, one OZBer achieved the same deal of $649. And that OZBer is going overseas soon and will get TSR discount.

Even if you were to sell the phone at $649, you still need to factor in the postage cost and PayPal fee (unless you go Gumtree of Facebook Marketplace with pickup only) and any return request would make a big mess. Sufficient number of orgs are on EPP so it isn't really rare.

    • Yes, each part of the Samsung site has quotas applied. You can buy 5 mobiles ever from what I have seen

  • +1

Be aware, for the partner program I have access to, the deal is stated to end on the 28th and there is supposedly limited stock.
So if you qualify for this and are interested, don't dawdle.

    • +2

Prefer to look at it another way, just need to resist it for 4 more days.

      • Go on, you know you want to.

  • yeah there are restrictions per type of product. If you login to the program account via work email it will tell you.

  • -6

Great prices, although I don't have access to them, I'm sure the community will help out :D.

The only thing that stops me is the bad battery life of the S9 series. I have a custom rom with 4K battery on my Redmi Note 5, can't go back to below 4K.

Hopefully the Note 9 hits 800 ish in such a way. I hope the people with access to such deals don't mind helping me out then!

    • Wot

        • -2

LOLOLOL are people insulted by the 4K battery? I'd be surprised if people didn't work out K stands for thousand and when someone says 4000 battery on a phone it's pretty obvious they mean 4000 mAh.

You guys probably thought I meant resolution? LMAO now that's funny.

    • +1

Yes, fellow ozbargainers can help you out, but please check out classifieds page for that.

    • Works for me bro

Although the silver came up as Rose gold in checkout so I had to get blue (s9)
