Please update the title with vegan.

    • +5

      Jewish and vegan… ouch

      • +6

I'm actually allergic to vegan ice-cream.

  • First 200 people only, according to email from LOTF.

  • +10

LotF are definitely not giving away anything containing ice cream.

Here we go with the “blah blah ice cream needs milk” comments.

I’m not even vegan but lord, there’s more than one way to skin a cat or in this case, make a dessert.

    • +4

The only comment here that mentions milk and ice cream is yours

      • First comment: wants it labelled as vegan (because they’re allergic to things that don’t contain milk, apparently.)

Third comment: implying this isnt ice cream (because LoTF is vegan.)

It’s started already. Read between the lines a little.

I have a website for you.

Check out the comments section you might like it there.

No one mentioned milk like you said.

Soy allergies are real and there's nothing wrong or negative with comments requesting titles be updated with further information. I would eat this free giveaway either way but when I saw the title I didn't know it was non dairy ice cream. It wasn't until I read the comments that this fact became aware.

Vegan food imitates other food. They sell apparent vegan meat burgers. That's imitation, that's fact.

            @Joey Jo Jo:

No one mentioned milk like you said.

Hence why they put it in quotation marks, as it was an example of what we should be willing to expect being commented on this deal.

You literally just re-enforced what they were trying to exaggerate in their original comment, which was pointing out how vegan products somehow manage to annoy/upset some members on here for some odd reason.

            • @magic8ballgag: Lol okay so you can make stuff up if you put it in quotation marks. I would love to see the shoe on the other foot if a food outlet started selling a 100% beef burger labeled "The Vegan Burger"

It's not made up, and for you to assume as such shows that you unaware of the type of comments that are commonly posted.

There would be no reason for them to, as that's why establishments like LOTF exist.

                Good talk.

                • @magic8ballgag: Okay, so we can agree that a vegan chicken burger is not a chicken burger and should always when advertised be clearly labeled vegan.
                  Good chat indeed.

                    Okay, so we can agree

                    We most certainly can not.

                    Good chat indeed.

You seem quite pedantic about the labelling of products, are you one of those people?

                    • -1

@magic8ballgag: You honestly think a chicken burger that contains no chicken is a chicken burger?

                      • +1

@Joey Jo Jo: I honestly think that life isn't as black and white as you seem to want to make it out to be, such as when a vegan franchise offers a 'chicken' burger, it's most likely just flavoured or made to resemble a traditional burger containing meat from an actual chicken.

              • +2

@Joey Jo Jo: Please show us a link to a shop that sells vegan burgers as "100% beef burgers" or vegan ice cream as "100% dairy ice cream"?

                • @el_cheapo: Clearly a hypothetical

                  • @Joey Jo Jo: So when you say "I would love to see the shoe on the other foot" you are referring to a situation that doesn't exist? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

    • +4

You should see the comments when a deal relating to any type of vegan milk is submitted, the same ol' dribble is posted:

hurr durr you can't milk a soy bean

      • -4

Vegan food products commonly use terminology used logically in foods containing meat and animal products. This shop sells vegan chicken burgers. If it hurrs your durr to see comments that say vegan imitation chicken isn't chicken then maybe the vegan shops listing flavoured plant mash with meat product names is more so the cause of your hurped derp than an internet comment expressing logical obvious facts.

        • +2

So basically your wall of text is trying to say that there can't be anything that resembles the label of an animal/meat unless it actually contains said animal/meat?

          • -3

@magic8ballgag: I feel sorry for you that your level of intellect perceives a standard comment as a "wall of text". It might be too logical for you but if an advertised chicken burger contains no chicken it should be labeled accordingly as it is imitation product of said name.

            • +2

I feel sorry for those that resort to insults because they couldn't think of an actual intelligent reply which addresses the original notion being discussed.

Perhaps you should write one of your lengthy thoughts attempting to sound smart to all of those snack companies which distastefully label their product after a popular flavour of animal meat, which much like LOTF's products, contain zero meat whatsoever.

              • -1

@magic8ballgag: Now the irony of your actual wall of text which has not addressed any points presented.

I did so in my original reply, feel free to read it again if you didn't understand it fully the first time.

@Joey Jo Jo: I guess you get this angry about chicken potato chips too? Or did you think those were made from real chickens?

      • +1

That is why I only drink freshly milked almonds. Too much controversy with Soy beans and their extraction process.

Every time there is a deal remotely related to a vegan product: https://imgflip.com/i/2ubaf5

        It gets pretty tiresome.

    • Lol at the calling of arms of the Vegan Super Friends Committee

      • I'm not even vegan and no one is my friend on this site, so you're incorrect on many different counts.

  • Has anyone spotted when they're opening up their Fortitude Valley, QLD store?

  • If anyone is in Sydney's Geroge street or Central station shop, how many people are queueing?

    • +1
