Excel in WA? I have high standards.

Ah, edited now. Disappointed. You should list the states you sell to.

Oooh, shipping kills it. Shame on you not listing total prices.

  • +11

Bargains have prices - no price tends to suggest it isn't a bargain…

    • Was almost going to downvote for that reason. Had a look at the website and its not too bad if that's what you're into (assuming good quality)

With my trusty friend, Ms Excel (For those playing at home)

      2x 200g Was $17.19 Now $10.31 $25.79 /kg
      2x 250g Was $21.49 Now $12.89 $25.79 /kg
      2x 300g Was $25.79 Now $15.47 $25.79 /kg
      5x 200g Was $42.99 Now $25.79 $25.79 /kg
      6x 300g Was $73.78 Now $44.27 $24.59 /kg
      1x 2000g Was $81.98 Now $49.19 $24.59 /kg

No idea about shipping. Hope it suits someone.

      Also not sure of delivery

      • Was almost going to downvote for that reason.

You mean click the report button? ;) ;)

    Might want to mention + shipping. I got + $18 shipping for the 6 x 300g option.

  • +5

    $18 shipping hahaha

  • +4

these companies keep thinking they can post 'bargains' and omit huge shipping costs, why bother?

    • -3

Like shipping cooled doesn't cost money? You could make loads of money running this type of business because you don't need to pay shipping.

Click and Collect option ? ie do you have a shopfront ?

Shipping for me was $18 to Adelaide. No bad considering weight and volume of the package. But, the ice had severely melted and work cracked it that it leaked all over the carpet and also after being put into the fridge water leaked out of the fridge too. Id suggest just dry ice or cold packs but not ice.

  • After shipping it only comes out marginally cheaper than Coles per kg for the 6 x 300g option, not particular enticing unless someone can vouch that the quality of the meat it far and above what you get at the majors.

Generally I find Coles meat is good at best and pretty terrible at worst.this can vary by store I find.

From other posts I think this mob is fairly well reviewed.

I'll always prefer a good butcher over Coles…i enjoy the experience of picking up meat from a good butcher and going for what they recommend and what I feel like on the day. I think a lot of people do like the convenience of delivery.

      • I am far from a connoisseur and it might have been a fluke, but one of the best steaks I have ever had came from Coles, it was a 4 pack on clearance for ~$16kg as it was near the best before. 1 was a little tough, but the other 3 were excellent.

    • Look at the OPs deal history - these guys have been posting here for ages and lots of very happy customers.

    • Just to add another data point as I've just realised I recognise the name - they are at the farmers markets near me every week. I've been impressed by the quality of their meats in the past.

  • My understanding is that the majority of beef eaten in Australia is Black Angus.
The linked site makes reference to "Black Natural Angus beef", which may / may not be the same as "Pure Black Natural Angus beef" (from Tasmania).

If OP / seller could advise how this product was graded using the MSA guidelines, it might make it easier to determine the quality in comparison to more locally-available options.

But shipping kills it for me.

In Perth & surrounds, I found an interesting butcher with $10 delivery.

    http://ismailshalaalbutchers.com.au/

Prices seemed good compared to Coles/Wow.
Contacted twice, they were friendly and helpful.

They said let us know in order if you want grassfed or other details.

I haven't tried them yet, but it looks good. Just passing on a (good?) idea.

They source their own stock which is Halaal, which is to me a good effort.

Careful, people in this place lose their minds when you mention the "h" word.

      • I thought that. But this is an honest post about healthy options, so too bad to the haters.
