  • is it OK to use if you have dandruff ???

    ("i" before "e" except after "c")

    • ("i" before "e" except after "c")

there is a spelling error but, in general, that rule is just plain wrong. in fact, there are more cases where 'i' comes before 'e' after 'c'.

tell that to my grade 2 teacher… :)

      • Really? I always say that little ditty in my head when I'm typing.

What are some common examples mattgal?

        • google search reveals….
beige, cleidoic, codeine, conscience, deify, deity, deign,
dreidel, eider, eight, either, feign, feint, feisty,
foreign, forfeit, freight, gleization, gneiss, greige,
greisen, heifer, heigh-ho, height, heinous, heir, heist,
leitmotiv, neigh, neighbor, neither, peignoir, prescient,
rein, science, seiche, seidel, seine, seismic, seize, sheik,
society, sovereign, surfeit, teiid, veil, vein, weight,
          weir, weird

        • anything that ends in 'cies' eg species, vacencies, juciest etc
          science
          insufficient
          ancient

the only reason i remember this is because i saw it on qi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duqlZXiIZqA
          the ones they list:
          species
          concierge
          caffeine
          weird
          glacier
          madeira
          hacienda
          being

actually they describe it as there being more exceptions to the rule rather than what i said (more spellings of 'cie'). they claim there are 21x more words that break the rule than don't. they also claim it is no longer taught in british schools

LOL at $33 for a bottle of shampoo.

  • Are you serious this is a rip off!! Most salon brand shampoo and conditioner would be $25-$30 for both!!
