  • Curious as to why the angled 3 in 1 cable is cheaper than the non angled one. Just a peculiarity or is there actually a difference in spec? (I couldn't find any)

    • +1

Non angled is the more recent improved version "Data faction", it supports data transfer on all 3 interfaces as opposed to only Lightning of the MVP angled model.

  • How good are the 3 in 1 cable and the baseus car charger with QC4?
    Thx

    • +1

See previous post with some links to reviews and specs
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/423264

The baseus car charger is good for fast charging one device, whereas the Zmi car charger is good for powering 2 devices at the same time.

Both versions of the 3 in 1 cables have been quite reliable, good for keeping cables at minimum when travelling

    • +5

3 in 1 cable with data transfer doesn't support QC. So don't buy it if you have a QC charger. I have one and can confirm this.

      • +1

That's a big deal for me Thx.

  • The code does not work on the magnetic cable?

    • +2

Not yet, 8pm Melbourne time :)

      • ah! thanks

  • Hey! Thanks for the deal - do you know if the magnetic adapter supports data transfer?

    • Nope it doesn't have the data pins, only reinforced powercore and the corresponding power pins

  • Good job with posting high quality type-c cables & chargers :)

  • The magnetic is 87w Max on Amazon. So 87 or 100?

    • +1

The cable supports 5A 100W max per USB-C standard. 87W refers to when using the Apple charger (87W output) with Macbook Pro

      • thxs. The non angled, apart from newer with data, is it better or fast charge or how is it better please?

        • It has a LED charging indicator in the middle, otherwise not much difference, both 5V3.5A output max

  • reckon i'll stick with the chinese sellers cuz I'm sick of the monopoly's

  • OP. Got any deals on your rivers coffee cups coming up?

  • Any DASH charging accessories on sale rep?

  • Looking for a USB-C to lightning cable (or 3-in-1)

    • +2

      Coming very soon

  • Any recommendation on shorter braided USB-C to USB-C cables that can handle USB-PD Macbook Charging?

    • Try the AENZR 30cm one, also good for high speed data transfer

      • Thanks! Wanted to pair it with the Xiaomi Powerbank, will do perfectly :)

  • Grabbed the 2m ANZER everything cable, thanks.

  • Been waiting for a USB-PD car charger deal, thanks OP.

Any deals on a USB-PD AC Adaptor anytime soon?

  • magnetic lightning cables please?

  • I have baseus dual coil wireless charger and it's really good.

  • Any reason the Basus 30W Dual USB PD Car Charger wouldn't work for a Macbook?

Like, I know it wouldn't charge as fast as a 60W adapter- but is there any other reason it wouldn't work? Currently I use the https://www.blitzwolf.com/BlitzWolfBW-S10-30W-USB-PD-Charger… and it works fine (also 30W PD)…

    • Baseus stats are:
      Output USB-C (max 30W): 5V/3A, 9V3A, 12V2.5A, 15V2A (24V DC input)
    • My current charger is:
      Output USB-C (max 30W): 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/2A, 15V/2A,20V/1.5A
    • +1

Some Macbook models only accept USB-C PD Charging at the 20V level, but the Baseus Car Charger's output voltage is limited to 12V when using a 12V DC cigarette lighter (larger vehicles use 24V DC cigarette lighter instead of 12V).

  • I bought the AENZR USB-C to USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 Full Feature Cable a few days ago and it does what it says for charging and data (not Thunderbolt) and looks like it's good quality.

I tried it on my Thunderbolt 3 dock though and it doesn't work (charging does but that's it).

Are you guys planning to bring in any long (2M) Thunderbolt 3 cables by any chance? Am looking at a TB3 cable that can do 40Gb and 100W, but because the cable needs to be active they're all really expensive. I've found some on Ali for $70, but unsure about the quality and all the branded ones are $100+.

    • +1

      Maybe maybe

AENZR supplier just provided me a sample of their 50cm 5A100W thunderbolt 3 cable, they are planning to make longer versions but it's quite difficult (quality control wise) and expensive to make these as you can imagine

  • Can anyone tell me why I should go with a branded USB-C to USB-C cable over something cheaper like this? https://www.amazon.com.au/HOMYL-3-3ft-Type-Cable-Charging/dp…

    • +1

Just a few basic points re the one you linked vs the ones in this post:

      • Charging Speed: max 2A vs 3A60W/5A100W
      • Charging Stability (powercore thickness): unknown vs 22AWG/20AWG
      • Data Transfer Speed: unknown(likely USB2.0 500Mbps speed) vs up to 10Gbps USB3.1Gen2 (20 times faster)
      • Material and build: Welded Connector likely Iron easy to rust vs One-piece stainless steel connector
      • Shipping and post-sales: Sold and shipped by likely overseas seller vs Local stock and really fast shipping, 30 day return period etc.
